Urban Legend is a teen slasher film that was released around the time of films like Scream and I know What You Did Last Summer, these have now become classic teen horrors however Urban Legend somehow managed to slip under the radar and I had never even heard of it until a few weeks ago when it was showing on Sky Movies.
The reason that this film gradually faded into obscurity is because there?s nothing original about it, it?s almost as if it tries too hard with the plotline. Teenagers aren?t going to be familiar with urban legends that are hundreds of years old therefore in a way they?re alienating their core audience. Sometimes complicated films ...

Advantages: Money, money and more money Disadvantages: Competitions can feel fixed
In recent months I've been writing more for Helium.com which originally seemed like a way to recycle stuff I'd already written for dooyoo and ciao. It seemed to make sense if it was possible to get more money for work I've already done, I might as well do it, it was stupid not to really. Similar to a lot of sites out there it allows the users opinions and views to be published openly on the internet, a bit like a consumer review site meets a wikipedia sort of thing to be honest. It allowed people to write about almost anything, be it poetry or consumer reviews, video games cheats to sports biographies, short stories to cooking tips it was all here. Better yet, the payment was there too, in several forms.
Despite joining up for them quite a while back I stopped writing, I'd written about 12 pieces and earned 17cents, this, it appeared ...

Advantages: the reward-a-thon Disadvantages: it's over
rectangles sitting side by side each containing either a very short article or an excerpt of about 230 words on a subject you're mostly not interested in in the least. According to Helium the members are presented with articles from channels (Helium speak for categories) they've posted themselves in, well, that sounds harmless, but one book review is enough and you're flooded with poems that can only be seen as an insult to the reader's intelligence. I regret the decision to post a biting article on missionary work because Helium in its unfathomable wisdom now thinks I must be interested in
