Advantages: When you read this you will know more about the Scissor sisters.
Disadvantages: None because its great!
...I bought the Scissor Sisters self titled album recently and can’t stop playing it. After listening to the album for a few weeks now I have finally decided upon my favourite songs. I love Filthy/Gorgious, It can't come quickly enough, Return to Oz, Laura and Take Your Mama (Ihave fallen in love with the video.)
In my opinion the Scissor Sisters will appeal to a broad age group and people with varied music tastes. There is something in this CD for everyone. I will try to give you a ‘feel’ for the sounds contained within this album describing them as best I can by mentioning other groups/styles of music.
The Scissor Sisters consist of :- Jake Shears & Ana Matronic (singers). Babydaddy & Del Marquis (guitars) and Paddy Boom (drums). A keyboard player called John Garden has joined them for their UK tour just now so watch out...

...The Scissor Sisters
....................................
The Scissor Sisters released their debut album, self titled the scissor sisters, in February 2004. The record entered the charts at number 11 and has now sold above 1.3 million copies in the U.K alone.

It has to be said that their sense of fashion is tres bizarre but in a fresh and funky way, mainly due to 4 of the band members being gay. The observer said the sisters were "more camp than a row of tents!"
All in all, the scissors have stormed the U...

Wyrd Sisters
Review of Scissor Sisters - Scissor Sisters by

Advantages: Covers most musical genres in one album
Disadvantages: Pink Floyd fans don't seem to like it...
...I have absolutely no idea why I like the Scissor Sisters. I just do. There’s no rational explanation for my feeling this way, it just happened. Generally, it’s not often I find myself in agreement with the music press. Generally in the last few years, I’ve found disliking bands that music magazines have heaped praise upon. I have frequently, if sporadically, enjoyed the Scissor Sisters, though. The singles I’d heard seemed like a lot of fun, with a kind of retro feel and some quirky lyrics that make listening a real pleasure, although not quite making a purchase essential. That was until one day in HMV, where I was almost assaulted by the sound from the shop’s speakers. “What’s this playing”, I asked one of the staff. “It’s the Scissor Sisters, I...
