Advantages: Great fun CD Disadvantages: Song book writing is very small
Having boys who are big fans of the Disney film Cars I had to snap this CD up when I saw it. The cover of the CD has a picture of Mater and Lightening McQueen and the title at the top in white lettering and also writing at the bottom saying that this is the singalong version with a song book included. The back of the CD again has a small picture of Mater and Lightening at the side and the track list on a red background to the other side.
THE TRACKS
There are 8 tracks which have vocals, these are:-
1 - Real Gone - The lead vocals on this track are by Laura Lynn. The song has a kind of rock feel and is very lively.
2 - Life is a Highway - The lead vocals on this track are by Neil Donell. The song has a real up tempo feel and always makes me feel good when I hear it.
3 - Find Yourself - Lead vocals are by David Jeremiah ...
Advantages: Nice mix of some great tracks Disadvantages: A few of the tracks are bad versions (at least not what I'm used to).
bits are simple and some bits are catchy, also has good lyrics, telling a nice little story of the ugly duckling.
Track 23 - I know an old Lady: its ok, not exactly singing it's more just lyrics along to a guitar. Nice telling of I know an old lady who swallowed a fly, though.
Track 24 - The bee song: Nice rhythm and catchy beat. It's about the life of a bee and what it gets up to, I quite like the lyrics.
Track 25 - When I see an elephant fly: I like this song, it has nice lyrics and good tune. It's about someone saying all the things they've seen and saying how they think they'll have seen everything when they've seen an elephant fly. ...
Advantages: Reminds you of christmas as a child and helps recreate a family christmas atmosphere Disadvantages: Absoultely none
I bough this CD a few years ago now for my daughter and must admit it is a really festive CD. The songs are all ones that you will recongnise and love and so will your children over the years.
To me Christmas is all about children and the songs odnthis CD bring that home to you. It's true christmas Carols and not these hyped up pop versions.
We play this every christmas now and it is one of the highlights for my daughter. She knows christmas is just aroung the corner when we start playing the CD and she even knows the words to some of the songs.
Guaranteed to get you in the spirit of things and will be the best thing you could spen your money on this year. CD's are vailable from £3-£5 from e-bay etc.
