An excellent collection of todays top bands all coming together to record unreleased songs in one day for the Warchild charity. Coldplay, Radiohead, Keane, Gorillaz, Damien Rice, Magic Numbers (and 14 other established artists!) contribute excellent material and the whole work has a cohesive feel, tied together by the joint cause. My only gripe is Babyshambles, but there is no accounting for taste! Especially pleasing is that there are two of the foremost African artists at the moment, Emmanuel Jal and Tinariwen, giving the roster a more global outlook than the Live8 show. Running time comes to 76 minutes, so value for money cannot be doubted (especially considering Play and Amazon are selling it for £4.99 at the moment. Nevermind the quantity, here the quality.
