Tarja Turunen made her name with Finnish metal band Nightwish. Classically trained she has peformed in Europe for some years on the Classical circuit.
This album translated into English as 'Breath Fromk Heaven' comprises many Christmas songs, and features the 2 tracks from her earlier single 'Yhden Enkelin Unelma'.
Turunens voice is both clear, and precise on this well produced CD. Some of the songs are a little cheesy - but allownces for this can be made due to her outstanding voice.
She peforms a memorable rendition of 'Ave Maria' which is probably the best I have ever heard.
ABBA's Happy new year (Track 3) is not such a good song. It lacks inspiration and I feel It lets the album down.
This album is a great christmas possesion for fans of Tarja Turunen, classical music, or cheese!
