Album Notes: his fourth studio album from the redoubtable British indie rockers is the follow-up to 2007's 'Daydream Anonymous'. Originally dismissed as nu-metal copyists upon the release of their debut six years ago, the band has gradually developed their own highly individual style, amassing an army of hardcore fans in the process. This album contains some of their most ambitious work to date, encompassing technical, progressive and extreme metal influences but retaining the strong sense of melody for which they are renowned.
...After having already bought a pair of the traditional black medium sized GHDs, and having them brake on me, GHDs must be good!
The straightener is made in a sleek new design which makes it easier for you to create curls and flicks as the barrel is much rounder than previous models. So as well as creating straight hair you can create curls, waves and flicks too. Provided is a CD Rom, showing step-by-step videos on how to create the perfect salon look.
They also feature a new 'sleep mode', so they will automatically turn off after 30 minutes; a good way of preventing the house from burning down! Aswell as this they include a shiver function which prevents damage to the irons in the cold winter weather.
The straighteners come in a handy silky wrap which rolls out to produce a heat resistant mat and also looks very nice in...

Advantages: Straightens Brilliantly! Disadvantages: Fairly long 'warm-up' period.
...Bought this straightener because I had used the uk version back home and needed a new one now that I am in the US. The US GHD is just as good as the uk one which puts it way above other straighteners, yeah its expensive but it really is worth it, it takes about half the time to straighten your hair and the result is much smoother.
Having said that the only downside to it that i can see is that the 'warm-up' time is fairly long (around 5 mins), which probably isnt much of a problem, just set them to heat up before you actually want to straighten away.
In conclusion i would just like to say, if you think nothing can straighten your hair, think again!...

Advantages: Ahead of its time Disadvantages: Handled very poorly. Slow.
...~ ~ When I was a teenager back in 1963, the first car my father ever bought was an old Ford Anglia in which I learned my basic driving skills.
Three years later it was traded in, and a brand spanking new car arrived on the doorstep.
A Triumph Herald 12/50, in lovely gleaming white, matching white colour-coded rubber bumpers, with a canvas slide-back sunroof, and to top it all, a RADIO.
This was nirvana for a 15-year-old boy heavily into the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and all the popular music of the time, and a vast improvement on the old Dansette transistor radio that had sat on the dashboard of the old Anglia, which had truly dreadful reception.
~ ~ In those days cars still had to be ?run in?, and great care was taken for the first thousand miles, with no heavy strain being put on the engine, and the top speed limited (by...
