Who/What
There can't be many of you who don't know what Heroes is all about, you know, a group of ordinary folk who discover they have superpowers, Like, The Flying Senator or PsyBearCop, not to mention The Radioactive Widower and The Indestructible Cheerleader. Sadly, it is not this bunch ... Read review
Advantages: An eclectic mix of past, present and future (groan) Disadvantages: A little obvious and literal at times

Sadly, it is not this bunch of differently-abled misfits who've released this album, but other people…people who have the power of music…

Highlights
Flicking through the names of the artists involved reads like a who's who at a music festival, with Deathcab For Cutie, Panic! At The Disco and Bob Dylan contributing tracks along with lesser-known but just as vibrant New Pornographers and Nada Surf flinging their chords about. It does make a change to be listening to them without having to watch as people stop time, walk through walls, break their necks and regenerate, and it's easy enough to just let go. Featuring large, are Wendy and Lisa, Prince's co-collaborators from long ago, and blow me! The Chemical Brothers!
Lowlights
There's eighteen tracks here, yes eighteen, and even if you did have the power to speed up time, it can still sometimes be too long a journey from one end of the album to the other. Mind you, it's not Stadium Arcadium either, so you should be breathing a sigh of relief for small mercies, I know I am.
Verdict
Strong, original songs from strong, original artists, and all in the one place as well. Even if you're not a fan of the show (and how could you not be?) you'll have a few good listens to the eclectica contained within this offering and trust me, you'll come away feeling as if you could fly.
Advantages: All main music from tv show is included in soundtrack Disadvantages: some unknown artist on album that may but buyers off
...would recommend this album to Heroes fans and also anybody who likes artists such as Bob Dylan, David Bowie, Iggy Pop and the Chemical Brothers. Theres a wide range of artists on this album some you will of herd of some you wont, however even though you have a large variety of artists with different genres of music, the feel of the music all fits together perfectly.
