Advantages: Some Great Songs
Disadvantages: A Couple Of Weaker Tracks

...of the weaker tracks on the Album and sits somewhat oddly between "It's All True" and a Song called "Hands up to the Ceiling" which sees Tracey reminiscing about her teenage musical heroes and heroines: "And on the stairs and on the wall, was Doisneau's kiss and Terry Hall. Sioxsie Sioux and Edwyn too, and Bobby D in '63..." This song fades out with a sound reminiscent of a old scratched Vinyl Record. Every Song that this Album delivers has been produced by a different Producer and this is something that is very evident. Yet one Song leads comfortably into the next, despite such musical contrasts. "Easy" starts with the just the sound of a Piano before the synthesizer sounds kick in. This track has been produced by Martin Wheeler to perfection and will please fans of Everything But The Girl's "Missing". Here, there are lots of strange noises... Read review

Advantages: Brilliant album better than there first

...and forget everything they do, hence the title "Defend You" 7. My Heroine This is another of my favourites. This song starts off with a catchy, beautiful melody and in comes the harmonious singing of "The drugs begin to peak, and a smile of joy arrives in me" This song is about the singer loving someone so much that he is almost addicted to her and can't live without her. The band use the metaphor of drugs and heroine to symbolise love and this particuliar person, it is also a play on words as a female hero is a heroine. 8. Always and Never This is yet another one of my favourites (seriously this album is full of them). The chorus in this song is probably the catchiest on the album and it just makes me want to get up and dance when I hear it. I think this song is about betrayal and a break up in a relationship. Review of Psalm 69 - Ministry by  SidneyJames

Advantages: Heavy, agressive and unique
Disadvantages: The legacy

...a killer punch and contains some classic Ministry songs. It kicks off with the incredible N.W.O in which a slamming rhythm meets thrashing guitars and the sampled voice of George Bush promoting the dubious virtues of an American dominated World Order. This is probably the most explicitly political Ministry have been. The fury continues with the Junky bashing Just One Fix, which seems rather ironic considering Mr Jourgensen’s infamous heroin habit. The next two tracks Hero and TV II sees Ministry produce some of the fastest songs they have produced, but don’t work as well as the earlier tracks. Things however greatly improve with the infamous Jesus Built my Hotrod featuring Texan madman and leader singer of the Butthole Surfers Gibby Haynes. The track is not only amazingly humorous but also sees Ministry creating a track... Read review
