High school musical is exactly like a kids version of Grease.It is great for young children because it's colourful and the storyline is simple to follow.The songs are also full of energy and catching.Songs from the movie include 'Breaking Free' 'Status Quo' and 'Bop to the top'. on the dvd Sharpay and Ryan show you the dance moves to their song 'bop to the top'.It is a difficult dance routine and I don't think the teaching ... more

The film starts off on new years eve at a holiday location.It shows a teens club where the club runners choose two singers at a time to sing.

Troy Bolton and Gabriella Montez are chosen.
Gabriella has never sang in public before she's always felt stage fright , but for the first time , she sings with Troy.

It's ovious that Troy and Gabrielle fancy eachother so they swap mobile numbers.

When Troy returns to school after the christmas holidays , there is a new student in his class.He finds out because his phone beeps to say that there's someone he's in contact with in the room.

Troy then discovers that this new student was the girl he met on holiday.They then become friends.

An advert on the students notice board says that the drama teacher is holding a musical and is looking for auditionees.

Brother and sister , Sharpay and Ryan Evans (played by Ashley Tisdale and Luca Grabeel) are the stars of every musical so when they realise they are in the competition for the lead roles with Troy and Gabriela , the competition starts!

Throughout the movie , the two couples are competiting for the lead roles.

In the end Troy and Gabriella get the parts!

Although this aimed at children I know of many adults who enjoy this film as much as children.High school musical is one of them movies that you can watch again and again without getting bored of it! It's also one of them 'feel good ' movies which make you feel great by the end of it!

I bought the High school musical dvd from woolworths for £15.99 and it was worth every penny.This dvd can also be bought from HMV , supermarkets , and places such as W H Smith.

I would say this movie is mostly aimed at girls , but I'm sure there are some boys out there who like this movie.

The dancing in this movie is fantastic! It really brings the songs to life! In one of the songs 'Getcha Head in the Game' , the singing is hard i think because of the odd beats , but they also sing , and bounce the ball and it all looks soo easy and perfect.It must have taken ages! You would think that the actors in this film were proffessional basket ball players!

Another feel good song in this movie is 'Stick to the status quo'.There is so much energy put into this song.It is filmed in the canteen and they have used the props such as tables soo well.It looks really good.

The message in this movie is to not feel intimidated by groups , for example the lead boy Troy is basketball mad and the girl is a bit geeky but they love singing and decide that they can do it and it doesn't matter what others think!

I give this movie a big 10/10
