Advantages: The most powerful Batman score ever composed; an Elfman classic all the way
Disadvantages: So what if it isn't the most sophisticated score in the world?

Batman was the most ambitious project Elfman had ever embarked upon and he took full advantage of the opportunity. The musical duties were divided between Elfman, whose score would fill about 80% of the film, and Prince, who wrote a number of songs to be used at various points in the film as background music or more prominently during few sequences (like the art museum scene and the money-parade scene). Advantages: Mostly pleasant listening and has some quite good ideas
Disadvantages: But when it comes to execution falters down into generic blandness

...one crave for some re-mixing of the different elements and a little more imagination as reagards instrumentation. In addition to the original album, there is also a special "Limited Edition" version available, which contains an extra DVD (with some interviews by the director and composer) along with the standard album. Avoid this at all costs! It is nothing more than Walt Disney Records' attempt to cash more from the unsuspecting consumer with a fancy leather packaging and the words "Limited Edition," of which you have to pay a lot more dosh just to get a DVD that is quite useless. There is also another basically pointless album released for Narnia that contains a bunch of Christian songs from a number of artists, that has absolutely nothing to do with the movie itself. Advantages: Many different types of rock and fantstic artists - the best of 2006 and 2007
Disadvantages: Could have more hardrock artists in and and second CD hasn't as much good artists in

...A fantastic CD with lot's of different kinds of rock. The best bands of 2006 and 2007 put in one CD. Artists like Snow Patrol, Razorlight, The Fratellies, The Arctic Monkeys, Automatic, The Ordinary Boys, The Killers, Keane, Franz Ferdinand, Kaiser Chiefs, The Kooks and the list goes on. Has two CD's and has 40 tracks, 20 on each CD. Has new up coming artist such as Wolfmother. has many artists winners from the Brits: The Killers who won best national CD and best national band, The Arctic Monkeys won best British CD and best British band. The Fratellis won an award too and many more Brit award winning artists. A fantastic purchase well worth its money. A great buy. I recommend definitely to people anywhere between 8 and 100 if they enjoy that kind of music. It even has some live performing artists such as 'The Arctic Monkeys' on tour... Read review
