Advantages: Instruments used beautifully, Nice lyrics (when translated) Disadvantages: Can be a bit noisy in some tracks.
I've now seen SlumdogMillionaire twice, and both times I enjoyed seeing it. I think the soundtrack really makes the film. It sent shivers down my spine while I watched it, and as a lover of music, it must have been good to do that to me.
"O Saya" , the first track, is a blend of great bass, lyrics, and vocals. It really does have the feel of typical bollywood music, but with a twist (that is M.I.A.) which really does make it outstanding (and this can be said for the entire album). I don't think this track is the best on the album as it can give you a headache if you listen to it too much as it has alot of percussion.
"Riots" did not really stand out for me, as it is one of the backing tracks and not an actual song you can listen to all the time. This is just my opinion, but you can expect this as most of the songs in the album are ...
Advantages: Great acting and story Disadvantages: None
Mahesh Khedekar (Jamal) and Rubina Ali (Latika). These children were picked from the real slums in Mumbai to star in the film. I think they all did a brilliant job and were much better than a lot of professional child actors that I have seen in films. They deserved the fame and recognition they got. I hope that it is true that the producers of the film are helping to provide for them throughout their young lives.
There is some good music in the film including the theme song Jai Ho that you have probably heard after the pussycat dolls brought out a version.
Overall I thought SlumdogMillionaire was a fantastic film. It has a great story that will keep you interested throughout. The acting is well done by all the actors, making it a worthwhile film to watch.

Advantages: An ok film, but did NOT live up to the hype! Disadvantages: What an anti climax!!!!
honest I found the storyline dry and boring. I thought it was going to be much more spectacular than it was, but all I found was it was a bit stupid, and put me off ever going to India.
The only bit of the film I enjoyed was the ending.
I found a few annoyances were 1) why would you have a show like Who wants to be a Millionaire if you were going to arrest anyone who got to the final stage on suspicion of cheating. AND why did the young kids in the past sequences, all of a sudden despite been veryyyyy poor before then, and never ever speaking english before, ALL of a sudden start talkign english even though before they were speaking in full Indian, a website claims they would have "learned from tourists", but they start speaking in full English, with no problems straight away, and then always spoke in English when together and not only ...
