Review of DFA Remixes Vol.1 - Various Artists by rob_parkinson

Advantages: A fantastic introduction to this exciting Lable
Disadvantages: A few weak track

...this album is a must have far anyone who describes themselves as being in to hip hop, indi rock and dance music. the remix team at DFA is headed up by the companys founders, James Murphy (aka LCD soundsystem) and ex-UNKLE member TIm Goldsworthy and together they crate wity, infectiously dancable and memrobale reworking of clasic songs from every genre, bringing there NY electro flavor to each one. not only is this a good album but also a good introduction to the DFA as a lable. based in NY the DFA (death from above records, referd to as the DFA after a legal dispute with Death From Above 1979) are an elctronia and indi orientated lable who are at the cuting edge of musical cool. there roster includes bands like Hot Chip, LCD soundsystem, Black Dice, Nine inche nails, and many more. check it out... Review of Graduation (Parental Advisory) [Digipak] [ECD] - Kanye West by JOY12345677

Advantages: loads of different and origanal songs
Disadvantages: nothing

...one of the best albums ever with not a bad song. unlike some rap music this doesnt carry any heavy stereo types or go on about guns and crime. most of the song on the album are upbeat like "good life" which is fun and funky and pefect to bop to while your on the bus or driving. altough it is a hip hop album most people will find a song that they will enjoy as kanye west is known for his diversity. this album unlike some others flows well so is easy to listen yto the whole album at once with out feelin bored. kanye uses other artist such as t-pain , lil wayne, mos def and even chris martain. over all as i said before best album this year and its well worth a buy... Review of Save The Last Dance - Various Artists by dabellaq

Advantages: Good mix of soul, hip hop, pop, raggae , pop and a bit of classical
Disadvantages: some overly suggestive lyrics

...to this. ‘Bonafide’ and ‘You Make Me Sick’ are more pop oriented, good for improvised dancing. ‘You Know What’s Up’ is a mixture of soulful hip hop and a very catchy but subtle groove. For head nodding music, ’You’ , ‘Get It on Tonight’ and ‘My Window’ are great tracks. Good accompaniments and strong vocal performances especially the harmonies. For the older generation, K-CI and Jojo’s Crazy does the trick every time. Great to sing along to or even slow dance to. Overall this is a good collection; the only negative is that some of the lyrics are overly suggestive like ‘You Can Do It’.... Read review
