Advantages: Well compiled collection Disadvantages: Not all best tracks included
...of the hits but also some more obscure recordings will give you a real flavour of what the Stax record label was about. Whether you like the straight guitar blues of Albert King, the high tempo ‘behind-the-beat’ brass backed soul of Sam and Dave and Otis Redding or the dance floor fillers of Eddie Floyd and Rufus Thomas there will be something to like. For anyone with a love of Soul, R&B and pre-nascent Funk this is a must and will get feet tapping and hip swaying by anyone with a musical ear.

...heart' 'make love, but don't fall in love' the sort of relationship that most guys seem to be after before they find the perfect person to settle down with.

Advantages: Comprehensive, diverse, good songs Disadvantages: Why was Nelly's "Hot in Herre" on this!?
...As a bboy, I pride myself on being a dignitary as well as a student of Hip Hop culture. This 3 CD set is comprised of some of the most influential artists and songs in the history of hip hop. This is an EXCELLENT collection of the songs that were an integral part of spreading the influence of hip hop, changing it's style, and bringing it to its present status.
Hip Hop now has become too over-produced and has lost sight of its roots. No longer "dropping knowledge" to educate...
