In 1988, a bunch of four eighteen year old lads from Nottingham signed a record deal with Noise Records and unleashed a record of such intensity on the world that many didn’t know quite what to make of it. Now, however, it is recognised as a thrash classic, and one of the first albums to prefigure the savage power of the genre called black metal. Tragically, after two albums, bassist Frzer Craske and vocalist Martin Walkyier left, with Martin forming the folk metal band Skyclad. Sabbat limped on for one more album, but the intensity was gone, and the band split up in 1990. Nonetheless, their influence can be heard in almost all extreme metal released since then.

A TimeTo Kill (another movie based on a John Grisham novel) is set in the deep south, in Mississippi in, I believe, the 1980s (I cant find any concrete info. on what year it was set and dont remember it saying that at the start of the movie but the story was written in 1989), at a time when you may hope that racism was comingto an end but clearly it wasn't, as two white, brutish racist basically thugs decide to assault (raping and attempting to murder) a ten year old black girl who was, at the time, simply walking on her own back home from having visited the local grocery store.
**Edit:- ok now I notice on Ciaos writeup for the movie it claims it was set in the 60s not the 80s, so I guess I got that ...
