My Friend got me into the vandals, it is his favourite band, and i had never heard of them before. so he lent me his album and now i am hooked too. the lyrics to their songs are deffineatly original, i have never heard any other band sing about haircuts, have you?!?!! the last song on the album is a cover version of "so long, farewell" (from the sound of music) that is a must to listen to. my favourite song is "my girlfriends dead" it is pure genius! it goes..."i once had a girlfriend,but then one day she dumped me and everywhere i go people would ask me where she was, i dont want to talk about her, someone always asks about her so i tell them all she's dead!" it continues "i say its leukemia or sometimes bulimia or a great big truck ran her over and chopped off her head, i dont wannna talk about her, someone always asks about her, so i tell them all shes dead". it is sung really jolly, even though some of lyrics arent. you have to have a sense of humour to appreciate the lyrics.

if you like bands like NOFX and Less than Jake, then you will love the Vandals too. If you are into cheesy pop, well then you probably wont like them.

the vandals are 4 californian blokes who have been together for at least ten years, not entirely sure how long, however they aren't really that well known. this is my favourite album in my cd collection.
