Homegrown Fantasy - Zion Train

Advantages: Fabulous story, fabulous atmosphere and fabulous acting
Disadvantages: A very few irksome things but neglible

...Alfred Hitchcock?s Strangers on a Train - excellent movie! I could leave it that but of course I won?t. I?d had this 2 disk special edition in my DVD collection for a while before I got around to watching it. I really should have watched it as soon as I bought it. Not that I need an excuse to watch it all over again. There is no law that says you have to wait any given period of time before you can watch a film that you enjoyed all over again! WHAT?S IT ALL ABOUT? Guy Haynes is travelling on a train and get into conversation with a stranger Bruno Anthony. Guy is a semi-professional tennis player and is somewhat flattered that Bruno recognises him. During their conversation Bruno brings up Guy?s soon to be (hopefully) ex-wife Miriam and current girlfriend Ann Morton who is the daughter of senator. Guy is not very interested... Read review

...It's coming up for the party season again so I have recently spent rather a lot of time making travel arrangements, one method of travel I seem to utilise rather alot these days comes in the shape of the West Coast Mainline, between Manchester/Stockport and London Euston, while in a previous life time I was very familiar with the Manchester/Edinburgh section of this same line, this route is operated by Virgin Trains and has been for several years. Thankfully these days the booking process is somewhat easier than it used to be, having to go in to the train station to book tickets I always found a somewhat draining experience as there was invariably a queue of people apparently wanting to purchase tickets for the next train due and only one counter open, now you can book online at one of several sites, my preference is virgins own, but... ...Having recently bought a Nintendo DS and enjoyed the Brain Training I was intrigued when I saw the new Sight Training for DS on sale in my local supermarket. Ever curious (and being keen to retain as many of my faculties as possible) I decided to buy it and see what it offered. Intially this product seemed quite similar in format to the Brain Training package I already had however I was pleased to see that it didn't have the rather irritating Dr Kawashima but seemed to offer something slightly more serious. The aim of the package is to offer the opportunity to train your 'vision' and alongside that there is the facility to test your eyesight and work out your 'Eye Age'. Rather interestingly the tests you get to perform are actually based on your 'Eye Age' so it is suggested that you check this something like three times a week... Read review
