Album Reviews: No Depression (p.67) - "Burton's muscular riffs, Perkin's smart embellishments, and the granite-solid Hardin-Tutt-Tallent rhythm section offers a flawless, cohesive foundation..."
Advantages: Good rhythms to do the housework to, some excellent songs Disadvantages: Some songs will appeal to some and not to others.
...to know, you're indestructible" and with this CD you can get any job done.
Cutting Crew - (I Just) Died In Your Arms - Time to dry the dishes and sing along "I just died in your arms tonight, must have been something you said" either that or it was my terrible singing!
Mike And The Mechanics - Over My Shoulder - Another slower song, time to dust down those lampshades and sing "Looking back over my shoulder, I can see that look in your eye, I never dreamed it could be over." And soon it will be over!
Don McLean - American Pie - This is a lively tune so its good for doing the vacuuming (providing you have it on your MP3 player or you wont hear it over the vacuum cleaner). Sing to the dirt "Bye bye Miss American pie, drove my Chevy to the levy but the levy was dry."
Lene Marlin - Sitting Down Here -This song is a reminder its time...

Advantages: One of the most inspired productions of the last decade Disadvantages: Did you not read the above?

The customary Corgan guitar solo ascends and plunges through various levels of distortion, before falling away into the background, allowing this opening track to build towards its conclusion.
The first contrast of styles emerges via track three and 'Today'. It's goosebump time here as two lone, playful electrics entwine before giving way to an avalanche of sound. It's not chunky, coarse riffing; more organised and melodic...

Advantages: An excellent introduction to some modern day country songs Disadvantages: If you don't like country music, you probably won't want this one!
...took his glass of champagne
And I toasted you, said honey, we may be through, but you'll never hear me complain"
3. - BURNING BRIDGES
Written by: Garth Brooks, Stephanie Brown
"Burning bridges one by one, what I'm doing can't be undone,
And I'm always hoping someday, I'm gonna stop this running round,
But every time the chance comes up, another bridge goes down"
Self explanatory song about the risk of wrecking you own chances of happiness by running away when you feel you are getting too close to someone else.
4. - CALLIN' BATON ROUGE
Written by: Dennis Linde
Yeee Ha! I like the music to this as it has a fiddle playing 'hell for leather' that makes it a very lively song about wanting to see someone again when you have the sort of lifestyle that keeps you moving on the road.
"A replay of last night's events...
