Advantages: Ligt, poppy, catchy music Disadvantages: Couple of weak songs
....
"I Can't Make Me" is a great song, very bitter-sweet and very catchy. Butterfly sings with real feeling and you get the distinct impression she's singing from personal experience. The lyrics are great ("I can't make me love you") - a fabulous song.
"Busy" and "A Walk Outside" are other highlights of this really great 1st album.
The only track I don't like is "Never Leave Your Heart Alone", which is a bit whingey. But most albums have an isolated flat-spot, and it's the only one on this album.
Butterfly has a good website - http://butterflyboucher.geffen.com - that's worth a look. You can listen to her music and watch her videos on the website, which also has lots of info and little clips from Butterfly. She also has a MySpace site (of course, dahling!).

...this is one of mariahs best albums. it was the first one that she got to show her 'true self' with her music and it really shows. compared to previous albums, butterfly has much more personal lyrics and has more r&b whereas all her other albums were more pop.it still has her trademark ballads such as butterfly and my all which proves she hasnt strayed from her roots, mariah has said she really enjoys singing ballads.
my favourite ballad on the album is outside, which i think is about mariahs feelings as a child that she never fitted in with everyone else because she was mixed race. the lyrics in this song like ''early on you face the realisation you dont have a space, where you fit in, and recognise you were born to exist'' show how much more personal the lyrics are to her, and its a side of her that hadnt been shown before...

Advantages: Great production Disadvantages: Poor rhymes
...you would't really expect to find from such a release (since it is from Nelly). I foudn it to be an unexpected piece of quality within the album, however it didn't have that much to it to make it stand out amongst the rest.
**Three Stars**
11. "Die For You"
I respect the fact that hhe expressed this through music, rather than enjoying it for its content, as the msuic itslef isn't really that good,. however I felt as though I was focred to stay engaged with the tune as Nelly talks about the frantic situation in which his child was born, and faced various complications. The skit to start it off reinforces the feelings which he faces when performing it.
**Two Stars**
"Suit" is quite varied, as with "Sweat", and it is certainly a step in the correct direction for Nelly, as it is as if he's gradually getting towards the standard...
