Full review
With probably one of the most politically incorrect albums you will ever hear the Bloodhound Gang have Hooray for Boobies. When you first look at this album it is very catchy, bright colours, about as much skin as you could probably show without getting the cover banned. If you see it once you will recognise it again. Inside are all the lyrics, but a few, so you an sing along to the fantastically written obscenities (where there are no lyrics they suggest writing them down, when you listen to them!).

The song that appear on this album include:
1. I Hope You Die (3.39)
2. The Inevitable return of the Great White Dope (4.02)
3. Mama's Boy (0.34)
4. Three Point One Four (3.55)
5. Mope (4.36)
6. Yummy Down on This (3.48)
7. The Ballard of Chasey Lain (2.21)
8. R.S.V.P (0.15)
9. Manga Cum Nada (4.00)
10. The Bad Touch (4.20)
11. That Cough came with a Prize (0.14)
12. The long Way Home (3.07)
13. Hell Yeah (5.02)
14. Right turn Clyde (5.24)
15. This is Stupid (0.10)
16. A lap dance is so much better when the stripper is crying (5.37)
17. The ten coolest things about New Jersey (0.10)
18. Along comes Mary (3.25)
~~I Hope You Die~~
“You must die I alone am best” starts the song off and that is what the song is about, wishing that someone you know was dead. This is quick a fast punk style track and starts the album off very well.

~~The Inevitable Return of the Great White Dope~~
All I can think that this song is about is a piss take by Jimmy Pop about himself. Saying that he is thick and whom he thinks he is like. This is a very upbeat song rap, with a great beat to it, along with great lyrics.

~~Mama’s Boy~~This is supposedly Jimmy Pop speaking to his mum, well listen to it and make up your in your own mind how sane you think he is!

~~Three Point Four~~
This song is all about him loosing his last girlfriend, it goes on to explain all of her faults and how it is probably better that he is not with her. The rest describes his perfect woman, this is a bit weird you decide again how sane you think he is!

~~Mope~~
I think that this song is a bit of a piss take out of all of R ‘n’ B, listen to the beginning of the track. This is a very cleaver song, which mixes samples Metallica (For Whom the Bells Toll), Frankie Goes to Hollywood (Relax) and Falco (Rock me Amadeus) with their own rap. This also features a special guest appearance from Packman!, yes the computer game Packman!.

~~Yummy Down On This~~
“Ouch it wont reach my mouth” starts the song off. This again is another weird song, which is really good. Of all things this song is about b******s, listen to the lyrics. This song again makes you think about the sanity of the man!

~~The Ballard of Chasey Lain~~
I can only assume that Chasey Lain is a porn star, this song is about him wanting to have sex with her as she has had everyone else, but not him!

~~R.S.P.V~~
An interlude of what you will think is Chasey Lain saying how she would never have sex with him etc…

~~Manga Cum Nada~~
This is a song about how insane he is and how he is never gonna be better than what he is now or something? This again is a kind of rap-metal song, hmm more like rap-punk or something I dunno!

~~The Bad Touch~~
This is the song which made them well known in the UK, it is a departure from their usual sound and although you might not think it, it is a lot more pleasant a song than they usually write. This is a very good pop song, which makes it crap, it appealed to lots of people and I should think they went out and bought this album and thought, what the hell? The song is about sex, hmm may sound familiar if you hear the album.

~~That Cough came with a Prize~~
No guesses to what this is, it is someone coughing into a microphone and bringing up some plem! I advise that this track is skipped, it is probably the most disgusting thing on the CD!

~~Take the Long Way Home~~
This song is a very bleak song saying how life is pointless and not worthwhile. So you make the most of it take the long way home or something. This song will probably offend Canadians, Elton John etc… cool!

~~Hell Yeah~~
This song is what he would do if he were god (aaaaarrrrrgggggggghhhhhh what a scary thought!). It goes on to say that it would be a sin to wear socks with sandles (I could live with that!) and how salves would do everything for him, well there goes this insanity thing again!

~~Right Turn Clyde~~
This song uses a riff from one of the best songs that Pink Floyd ever wrote, you know The Wall. But in stead of being “just another brick in the wall” it is “just another dick with no balls”. Well it doesn’t have the same quality, but the song is quite funny none the less.

~~This is Stupid~~
“How do you let someone know when your hotcakes are selling well?” I don’t know ask The Bloodhound Gang!

~~A Lap Dance is so much better when the Stripper is Crying~~
This is a very sick song, I am sorry but I am not going to tell you what it is about. That can be your surprise when you listen to this album for the first time!

~~The Ten Coolest things about New Jersey~~
Well according to The Bloodhound Gang there are no cool things. This is just 10 seconds of nothing! Who can argue with that? Well apart from the residents of New Jersey anyway.

~~Along Comes Mary~~
A song about Mary coming to save him!

All of the songs, well those that are songs and not choking, are extremely well crafted and sound great. If you wait till then end of the album, track 47, you get a wonderful little track with them sing Hooray for Boobies in a kind of Opera sound! I suppose this is not the album for every one, for some the contents may be a bit too extreme; it may insult a few people (for those I say, if you listen to if don't take it literally!). The Bloodhound Gang have come up with some memorable lyrics; such as "if I were god I'd get a bunch of slaves to do everything".

With a similar humour in their songs that NOFX get, the Bloodhound Gang have their own unique sound, a strange mix of punk, metal and smooth electronic sounds. The best tracks on the album are 1, 4, 7, 9, 13 and 18.I apologise for any offence that I may have caused anyone in reading this, actually no I don’t you had the choice not to read this! :-)
