This is a strange album. It is the one with which the Bloodhound Gang made it big, after the Bad Touch shocked the world. They had recorded good songs before, but they had not been popular in the UK. The bad touch was an average song with good hype and big shock value. Their album contains much better songs, actually beginning with one, I Hope You Die, which is a well performed and funny rap type song. The tracks on this album are a mixed bag. 3.14, Chasey Lain and most of the album is also shok based, but somehow the Gang make a good job of them musically. Hell Yeah and Along Comes Mary are excellent, with Hell yeah showing that they can cover slow hip-hop, and Mary exercising their speed rock style. The guitar is powerful and the tunes are catchy, regardless of what you think of their lyrics. The album is not musical high art, but it is funny and I think the Bloodhound boys do exactly what they set out to. They draw atention to themselves and make a pretty good Metal album. Buy it if you can take a joke, want an album that will make you laugh and if you appreciate quality metal. They've made their way to noteriety like Eminem, you only have to wonder what they have planned next.
