My youngest daughter loves this little character, she has many DVDs and even more books which she can lose herself in for hours, so, I thought I?d see what she was constantly laughing at. Horrid Henry was created by Francesca Simon, (illustrated by Tony Ross) back in 1994 and has so far graced my childs life with over books, CD/tapes/ DVDs, annuals and even an album featuring 2 discs of Henry songs. Even some books have been sold as Audio and narrated by Miranda Richardson In 2004 Horrid Henry aired on the Childrens channel CITV with over 50 cartoon episodes based on some of the books, with titles such as: * Perfect Peters Party. * Sport?s day * School fair * And the Secret club * Meets the queen * Perfect Peters revenge * Holiday * Fishing trip * Hiccups * And the big dig ?. Horrid Henry

Advantages: Great stories
Disadvantages: NONE

The Horrid Henry collection of stories is currently the subject of 17 books written for children aged between 6 and 11. The author of these books is Francesca Simon and the subject for the stories, a boy called Henry. As you can probably guess from the title of the collection Henry is a horrid child whereas his brother Peter is perfect. Henry's mum and dad sincerely wish that Henry was like Peter but we don't because then there wouldn't be any fantastic antics from Simon to right her books about. Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend is book number 14 and was published in 2006. The book contains four stories entitled; Horrid Henry peeks at Peter's Diary, Horrid Henry and the Football Fiend, Horrid Henry Goes Shopping and Horrid Henry's Arch Enemy. Each story is roughly 20 pages in length and so is more than manageable for children ...

Horrid Henry, Good Show

Advantages: Funny, children like it, repetitive scenes that kids like, great theme tune :)
Disadvantages: Shows bad behaivour but is harmless if kids know it's wrong

the things children like in a show like the Teletubies 'Again, again!'. Mostly, in the episodes Henry gets what's coming to him and he gets told off or he isn't allowed pocket money for a week which shows the young viewers that there's always consequences. Kids will also like there names as they're easy to remember as they have a nickname that starts with the same letter as their name like Horrid Henry, Perfect Peter, Moody Margret etc. Overall, this show is fun and as long as kids realise Horrid Henry is naughty and his behaivour isn't right, it's a harmless show. I recommend it to the young viewers but no younger than 4 in my opinion as they need to learn to be good children before they can recognise the bad. ...
