The killers- who are they???
They are for me personally one of the best 'indie' bands to come out of America in 2005! Coming from Las Vegas these guys are: Brandon Flowers- Vox, synthesiser, Dave Keuning- Guitar, Mark Stoermer- Bass, Ronnie Vannucci- drums.

I promise you that if you like indie/rock music you will love the killers! you can't go to an 'indie' night in England without hearing one killers track and at least half the crowd singing along at the tops of there voices and if you buy this album and like indie music you will soon be singing along!

I even managed to get my Dad into the Killers and he loves elvis, queen and kylie.

Ok so here is my track by track review of each song:

Jenny was a Friend of Mine- First track to kick off the album and its a great song, its really hard to describe what the songs about basically a guy singing about his friend jenny and problems he's had with her! Everyone makes there own interpretation of the song. my score 8 out of 10!

Mr Brightside- I love this song! This song seems to be about a developing relationship that just started out with a kiss and the girl ended up at his house! Must listen to its got great lyrics in this songs and the instruments sound great 9 out of 10!

Smile like you Mean it- Not my favourite but its still good! This song also hard to describe what it means as all the killers songs seem to have so many messages and stories within them! So i suggest you buy it and make your own interpretation but i score it 7 out of 10!

Somebody Told me!- This song has to be one of the best on the album, to sum up the song heres part of the chorus- 'Somebody told me you had a boyfriend who looked like a girlfriend that i had in February of last year!' This song was the last song released off the album as i write this now ( jan 2005) Its a great song and you will find yourself singing this all day! 10 out of 10!!!!

All these things I've done- My favourite! This was probably the song that made me buy the killers album! The gospel singing of 'I've got soul but im not a soldier' towards the end has to be a highlight!!! By reading the above lyric i hope that makes you also curious to hear this song! The beat in the song is great and you can help but bob along to this one! 10 out of 10 without a doubt!!!

Andy, You're a Star- A bit slower then the rest but you could hardly call it a ballad! Still got the rock and indie'ness of the song! The title probably gives away what the song is about, singing about someone called Andy who is apparently a star! Good track but you cant dance to it very well! 7 out of 10

On Top- A good sing-along song, the song seems to remember the past a bit. And how whatever was wrong is great now and they are on top apparently! I recommend you listen!

Glamorous Indie Rock & Roll- Another song which made me buy this album! The songs sings about how the singer likes Indie Rock & Roll and its all he needs! A great song, well written, well sang and well played!!!

Believe me Natalie- Another slower track, starts off quiet until drums come in. The song is appealing to natalie to believe and listen as its her last chance! A well written song with good lyrics! 7 out of 10

Midnight Show- Great beat to get you bopping! Song tells of how the singer will take you to a midnight show tonight, little bit more cheeky this song asking to look up a short skirt but i think this song is very lyrically strong!

Everything Will be Alright- Final song on the album, nice slow one to finish off with which i think is appropriate. Sings of how everything will be alright seems to be a comforting song to comfort someone when they think everything wont be alright. I'd like someone to sing this to me as im an indie fan and would like a indie song that tells me everything will be alright. Its probably the slowest song on the album but still very strong!

So there is my review of The Killers- Hot fuss
It is hard to describe what the songs are about they are full of so many messages and stories and extremely well written. Defiantly in my top 5 albums of 2004. Im sure The Killers will be around a while longer!
