... Loaned of copy of "Hot Shot" by a friend, I sat down and prepared to be surprised. The opening track is the title track, and it is the kind of music to make you physically cringe as Shaggy proclaims in his fake accent that he is "Mr Hot Shot". Advantages: Admittedly there is one decent song Disadvantages: The lyrics are just too close to the bone and the rapping is shockingly bad
...accent that he is "Mr Hot Shot". It is the kind of music that might make you "bump and grind" should you be that way inclined. It has shades of his legendary hit "Mr Loverman". It is far from original, and if this is the standard of the opening track, then I am not looking forward to the rest of the CD. Kimberley Miller sings backing vocals, and I got the feeling she was there for the fee and nothing more. "Lonely Lover" is introduced by the dulcet ... ...just in case we were in any doubt!! It samples "I Just Don't Want To Be Lonely", and that is the only plus point of this track, as Shaggy's vocals are as fake and drawn out as ever. When the guest singer is singing the original lyrics, the song is listenable, but only just. "Dance and Shout" is the latest release, and I am sure it will be a hit, but not because of Shaggy. It will be a hit because it uses a classic Jackson's song, and does more than ...

Advantages: A mistake come good Disadvantages: Is there any?
...stands a rack of Shaggy’s Hot Shot CD’s. At that point I have no idea who Shaggy is or what he sings. OK, OK I might be showing my age here, but I couldn’t have named you one song of his……I thought to myself…..Could he be the owner of that great song?? Well, it was on special offer, and £9.99 for a non Internet priced Chart CD is great value, and I get my points, so I stuck it on my pile to pay!! It wasn’t ... ...thing on them!!
#1 HOT SHOT ~ 3 minutes 49. This is the title track of the CD. Background vocals by Kimberley Miller. The first of many tracks when Shaggy insists in shouting out his name, calling himself ‘Mr’ something, and telling us listeners just what a hot lover he is!!! Good song, but the background vocals really make this track
#2 LONELY LOVER ~ 3.47. This track features T-Lo of Next (the clothing chain???!!!) But unfortunately ...

Mr. Loverman Review ofHot Shot - Shaggyby
BionicRattlesnake
Advantages: Includes: It Wasn't Me & Angel Disadvantages: Could have some more better songs
...Jam and Terry Lewis give Hot Shot a polished clean sound. Other than enlisting the help of the above mentioned producers, Shaggy also got a whole slew of other artists to guest on his songs such as singers Samantha Cole, Ricardo "RikRok" Ducent and also rappers such as PeeWee, Mr. Mydas and as mentioned above Rayvon. So much so that it almost sounds as though it is Shaggy who is guesting on his own record. Notable tracks include "It Wasn't Me" which ... ...listening to it. Although Hot Shot did have some dull moments in between, it remains and otherwise noteworthy album and the outside talent that guest on his record give it a fresh feel (I suspect this was done because hearing an album full of Shaggy's nasally vocals can get irritating). Album: Hotshot
Artist: Shaggy
Best tracks: It wasn’t me / Dance & Shout ...

Advantages: good catchy tunes which you will know of if you have heard "it wasnt me" Disadvantages: none
I bought this album on import from america loved a ton of songs on it. The album was definitely not a disappointment.Shaggy is awesome and very funny, perhaps without even trying to be. Here are the tracks: 1. HOTSHOT: This is a pretty good song. It's good to open the album up but definitely not one of my favorites. 2. LONELY LOVER: This song is so good!!! It really flows nicely and Shaggy's singsongy rap style is very cool. This is a really cool, ... ...very nice in this party starter of a song. It's very good, and is a single so most of you guys probably have heard it. 4. LEAVE IT TO ME: This is a nice, kind of mellow love song. Shaggy sings in this one more than he raps. 5. ANGEL: I love this song!! The sample works VERY well in the context of Shaggy's album. A classic song, updated in a classy way. Very reggae feeling. 6. HOPE: I don't know why this song wasn't all that popular as a single. It ...

Advantages: videos and the brill music. Disadvantages: Nearly all the songs are about Shaggy and his numerous girls.
...song on the album is hot shot, which is OK, but I think it's the worst song on he album. My favourite song is probably Why me Lord, which is number 12. It's a slightly different style from the songs he's released, but he is still mucking about with more than one girl at a time.
Of course, It wasn't me, is a superb track, and anyone who likes it should buy the album, seeing as there are numerous similar songs on it. Freaky Girl is probably the most ... ...There are slightly softer songs on the album, but in all them shaggy plays Mr Shagadelic. In reality there are only seven songs that are sung only by shaggy, all the others feature other artists, but that doen't make them bad songs, afterall, both It wasn't me and Angel feature other artists too.
Other songs include Lonely Lover, which is alright; Hope; Keep'n it real which is brilliant; Not fair; hey love; Chica Bonita, which is completely different ...
