In a remote antarctic research station the researchers have found an alien creature frozen solid buried in the ice. They estimate it has been there for 100,000 years and so dig it out an Put in an ante room for later examination.
However the creature defrosts, come alive and then starts killing the lonely researchers. t first they are unaware that it is picking them of but it later comes to light that it can absorb that person and produce an exact duplicate of the victim. When this is discovered they do not know who is real and who is alien. It is nearly impossible to kill and only fire makes it afraid.
Kurt Russel stars as our hero and it is he who takes the fight to the alien creature. some of the scenes are really chilling, no pun intended, the dog transforming is gruesome. the man ...

The TomTom one xl is in my opinion the best navigation aid in it,s price range. Further I would with no hesitation say. it gives systems out there that cost £3000 or more a run for their money. Having previously owned the TomTom go. which I found to be of great usefullness . This improved and updated device satisfactoraly adresses any slight niggles the TomTom gomay have had. I found the route calculation speed to be fast The device also has many extremely useful gadgets and applications. A particularly handy application is the inbuilt income generating cameras detection [pardon me I meant to say safety cameras]. the device is also capable of calculating a route around traffic congestion and accidents, particularly useful for those of us regularly using the M25. ...

partly because of the fact that I am so familiar with the storyline, so there are no surprises, but I have watched Jeremy Brett's version time after time without becoming this bored, so I do have to conclude that this is a weaker version.
Another disadvantage to this version is the complete lack of atmosphere. The story takes place around the Baskervilles' ancestral home, which is moorland. The moor is usually described as being creepy, particularly at night, and often misty. The main thing that struck me with this film is how beautiful and green the moorland is. It was apparently filmed on Dartmoor, which can look spooky, but it just didn't cut the mustard as far as this film was concerned. Not even the dog was scary - it just looked like an ordinary mongrel with red eyes.
