A Favourite Thing Advantages: Great music Disadvantages: Some duds Faithless are one of my favourite artists. In case you don’t know Faithless are made up of Maxi Jazz, Jamie Catto, Sister Bliss and Rollo. This foursome have had a huge amount of success, and still seem to have their feet on the ground. I am a huge fan so forgive me if I seem biased. Anyway this album starts brilliantly with the title track, and it is the deadpan tones of Maxi Jazz which make it work so well. My favourite lyrics have to be: ... ...so take a pace back, face facts- you don’t need eye’s to see you need vision’ Next comes ‘Don’t leave’ a very sickly love song, and I’m not at all sure about Catto’s vocals. This song doesn’t have the ‘Faithless’ touch (maybe it’s due to the fact that it is written without Maxi Jazz’s input?). Overall a very forgettable track. Not quite everything is wrong Advantages: Interesting, Original and often Fun! Disadvantages: Not to everybody's taste ...connotations of the title, not everything is wrong. This album, for example. Completely different to anything else Moby has done, but then, this is a man who changes his musical style more often than Henry VIII changed his wives. The album starts with the rather sedate Hymn, then going into a sudden change of mood with Feeling so Real, which can be a bit of a shock should you not expect it. Dance, Dance, Dance and dance some more! Advantages: Fun, dancey, great disco Disadvantages: Lyrically not great, might not be everyone's cup of tea ...follows: 1. Dance, Dance, Dance (Yowsah, Yowsah, Yowsah) 2. Everybody Dance (12" mix) 3. Strike Up the Band 4. Chic Cheer 5. Le Freak 6. I Want Your Love 7. Good Times 8. My Feet Keep Dancing 9. My Forbidden Lover 10. Soup for One 11. Savoir Faire If you are interested in disco, but don't want to invest in just compilations, this is a good start. Where to begin describing this? Funky basslines, groovy guitar riffs (everyone knows 'Good ... ...(Hear Me Tonight)', you'll realise that riff is from 'Soup for One'. One thing that could be an advantage or a disadvantage is that all the songs are the full versions. This could be bad if you're dancing, because you're going to be tired by the end of the 8 minute 'Everybody Dance'! I love every song, but personally, I think the two weakest are 'Soup for One', and, particularly, 'Chic Cheer', because it just doesn't really go anywhere. One Of The Best Albums Ever By Usher Advantages: This Album Is Worth Buying/ Better Than The Rest Disadvantages: None ...songs on this album is Here I Stand. Well, on this album I have many favorite songs. The lyrics are fantastic. Usher's album is a must get. Most of the songs on the album is about relationships/ love.
