I hope he keeps on rising
Review of Still I Rise (Explicit) - 2Pac by syke7

Advantages: Fresh 2pac verses - great production
Disadvantages: Outlawz - not enough 2pac

Known to be 2Pac's 4th posthumous release album, this is a bit different from all the other ones he has released. Featuring his group, the Outlawz, he created 15 songs that are all well worth listening. Each and every song has an interesting and excellent meaning and the time he put in to make the lyrics incredible is just amazing. As a result, the lyrics are one of 2Pac's finest and even the Outlawz come out good as well. Most of the CD is soft ...
...tracks come on. Songs like 'BABY DON'T CRY', 'TEARDROPS & CLOSED CASKETS', 'STILL I RISE' and 'AS THE WORLD TURN' are excellent tracks to listen to. 'BABY DON'T CRY' outlines the usual life of a ghetto child and is about a woman's worth. The tune is adorable and the lyrics are just mind-blowing. 'STILL I RISE' is one of the mellowest tracks I've heard by 2Pac, outlining the ups and downs of 2Pac's life. 'TEARDROPS & CLOSED CASKETS' is by far the ... Read review

2Pacalypse When
Review of 2pacalypse Now [PA] - 2Pac by D.J.Parka

Advantages: Tupak is awsome
Disadvantages: A bit strage for Tupac

This album hasn’t really grown on me as well as some of his other albums. Don’t get me wrong, its not that I didn’t like it its just quite different to the usual 2Pac stuff. I’ve had the album for about 4 years now and I bet I’ve not listened to it more than 20 times. The best song on it is “Brenda’s got a baby”. Which is the tenth song on the album. If you have the album yourself you will defiantly ... Read review

Still he rises...
Review of Still I Rise (Clean) - 2Pac & The Outlawz by lady_sparkle

Advantages: nice chill out sounds... not like 2pacs usual heavy beats
Disadvantages: songs are very similar

...i was 14 and i still think that it is a brilliant album! The songs are all in the wow factor especially still i rise! this is by far the best tune on the album! The fact that i can still listen to this album for hours proves that it is timeless because normally ill have an album and be sick with it by next week! unlike 2pacs other albums, this album is light and fluffy and not too hard core although it still holds the 2pac edge! The outlaws are brilliant ...
...is! I would recommend this album to anyone who loves 2pac but be warned it is not as heavy as most of the others... for those of you who are not familar with 2pacs music, the songs on this album have soft beats and are quite harmonic as well as the rapping and background vocals. ... Read review

Nobody did it better
Review of All Eyez On Me - 2Pac by syke7

Advantages: 2pac at his best - great party tracks - great guest apperances
Disadvantages: one or two abysmal fillers

...about people dissing Tupac's album All Eyes on Me and saying that it is overrated but this is most likely to a generation gap. I can understand why some younger people feel he is overrated because there have been so many people using his style and iambic meter that the sound is sometimes not as exciting to the younger generation of hip hop fans (this is for the most part...but not always). But for a guy like me who was in his late teens/early twenties, ...
...new. Nobody sounded like him. When he dropped, nobody rapped with such emotion and embodied much of the struggle that many of us was going through...his raps more than empathized with our emotions. When I see evaluations of the album by people I wonder how old are they. Because the day his album dropped, every car that went by on my college campus was bumping that album! I was almost broke and my room mate and I scrapped up the money to both go in ... Read review

R U Still Down?
Review of R U Still Down (Remember Me) [PA] - 2Pac by limpzy

Advantages: Collection of two hit singles, multi-platinum album & contained unreleased material.
Disadvantages: Nothing different compared to his old albums. First album to be finished without the creative input of Tupac himself.

Tupac Shakur is one of the best artists of hip-hop of all time, he created some of the most influential music ever with his music still living on today. 'R U Still Down?' was released in 1997 and is very similar to his usual material except for the fact that this was the second album to be released after his death. This was the first record sold for his mother's new imprint Amaru Entertainment which was suing Death Row records at the time. The album ...
...Wonder If Heaven Got a Ghetto". The album itself has a good range of tracks that I find original to the Tupac phenomenon. The fact that he raps about his struggles, loyalty & determination is what I find so appealing about him. There is a mix of fiery, fast-paced songs to more calm, cohesive music which is very compelling. Tracks such as 'Hellrazor' to 'Fuck all Y'all' shows us his brutal talent and rage about his life. Yet tracks such as 'R U Still ... Read review
