Review of TI Vs TIP (Parental Advisory) [PA] - T.I. by XICripZ

Advantages: Some of his best material ever
Disadvantages: A couple of the tracks aren't in tune with the concept

"T.I. vs. T.I.P." is the fifth album from the Atlanta rapper T.I. and has him return once again with a banger of an albumn to follow on from the momentum which he gained after releasing "Urban Legend" and "King", the two greatest successes prior to this. This, as with his last two, topped the Billboard Charts as he continued to bring out quality music from the Dirty South as no other can. This album, with a title such as that has significance, and ...
...sides to the man given the name Clifford Harris at birth. You have T.I., what you general see from him, a ladies man who has more swagger nearly all others out there. The you have the short-tempered T.I.P., his alter-ego which has him rapping in a more fierce way as he tends to take it to Gangsta Rap to express his emotions. In the past he has explored these two personas, especially in "Trap Muzik", whihc featured the track "T.I. vs. T.I.P", but ... Read review

Estelle - Shine
Review of Shine - Estelle by littlechica

Advantages: Great baselines and lyrics
Disadvantages: Maybe not for all

I have had this album a few months now and really enjoy it. It has such a varied range of styles from reggae to pop, hip hop. Its one of those albums where I enjoy all the songs and dont skip any. I actually prefer the other tracks now as opposed to the American Boy she released although that is mainly due to the fact I have heard it played so many times. I think Estelle has done really well with this one and would recommend to R&B lovers and will ... Read review

Git. Git. Git It
Review of Paper Trail [PA] - T.I. by XICripZ

Advantages: A few bangers
Disadvantages: Strong material left out

"Paper Trail" is T.I.'s sixth album. If you were not aware, this Atlanta rapper was arrested late in 2007 and had been under arrest for a few months on firearm-related charges. During this period of time he decided to record an entire album, he ended up recording in excess of 50 individual tracks so you can expect qulaity for this album in so much potential material. 1. "56 Bars" T.I. doesn't mess around with any spoken introduction for this album, ...
...much of it, it would be a waste to lose tracks for litte unneccesary sections. He establishes his status as a hardcore Gangsta rapper from the Dirty South in this Toomp-produced tune, and since his right-hand man, DJ Toomp didn't have any role in his last album "T.I. vs. T.I.P.", it was great to here him start things off here. **Three Stars** 2. "I'm Illy" Following on nicely from the tune whihc cmae before it, DJ Toomp return to come with his ... Read review

Flo Rida = Wack
Review of Mail On Sunday (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Flo Rida by XICripZ

Advantages: One hit
Disadvantages: Poor rhymes throughout

Flo Rida, as the name suggests is a Floridian rapper who shot to fame after the success to his debut single "Low" which featured T-Pain and featured as part of the soundtrack to "Step Up 2 The Streets". It was very successful, reaching #1 in the U.S. and #2 here, and is still receiving radio play to this day despite being released back in October. This is his album "Mail On Sunday", released earlier on in the year. 1. "American Superstar" (feat. ...
...on this album (just as it is essential for T-Pain to be on here too), so it's good to get over this quickly, not that I dikile him, but because it's just annoying to see him everywhere on every album by anyone in the 'urban' genres of music. This song sounds as if it is another attempt at Hood Rock, the Dirty South rap and Rock combination, which the Shop Boyz made famous with "Party Like A Rockstar" last year. This track is very hard and its rock ... Read review

New Joc City (Pt. II)
Review of Hustlenomics [PA] - Yung Joc by XICripZ

Advantages: When he's good, he's amazing
Disadvantages: Block. Not consistant.

"Hustlenomics" is the second album by the Atlanta rapper, Yung Joc who brought "It's Goin' Down" to a worldwide audience in the Snap music style of rap. Joc doesn't just do this style though, in fact he doesn't do it that often, so you won't be hearing any Soulja Boy-type dance tracks hear. He's more of a genreal Dirty South artist, but will a more soft style, so he isn't as hardcore as artists such as T.I., Lil' Scrappy or Bun B (who appears on ...
...better condidate for the mainstream audince, although I don't think he's fully broke through to it yet, he almost did with his debut single; "It's Goin' Down", which was off his first album, "New Joc City". 1. "Hustlenomics" (intro) 2. "Play Your Cards" This one didn't really have any defining features to it, in order to have it stand out amongst the rest of the material on the LP, so there isn't much I can say about it. There's nothing that makes ... Read review
