Mash up mix 08
Review of Mash Up Mix 2008, The (Mixed By The Cut Up Boys) [Digipak] - Various Artists by terripark

Advantages: Mix of new and old songs
Disadvantages: First few songs on each disc

...08 one as the 07 mash up mix was really good as well. When a new compilation is released sometimes they are not as good as the previous year. I bought it from tesco when it first came out which is stupid because if u wait a little while after it has come out the price drops. I will definatly buy next years mash up mix as the 07 and 08 ones are brilliant. Definatly recommend it to any dance music listeners! Anyone who knows ministry of sound will ... Read review

Review of Ministry Of Sound Chilled 1991-2008 - Various Artists by ygrant7

Advantages: quite relaxing and catchy tunes
Disadvantages: few monotonous tracks

...the track. my favourite track without a doubt is "clubbed to death by rob dougan". such a good tune. i always thought of ministry of sound as dance and techno but this cd was quite "chilling" and i havnt stopped listening to it- skipping the few annoying tracks of course! ... Read review

Clubland 11 Review by Stevengw
Review of Clubland Vol.11 - Various Artists by Stevengw

Advantages: Has a couple of outstanding tracks
Disadvantages: Some songs didn't appeal to me

I didn't get this until Clubland 12 came out (i didn't know it was out) and it was worth the wait, though i wish i hadn't... As usual, the album art is teriffic, and dazzles as a Album Art And it has some great tracks to, and has brilliant artists, such as Cascada, Ultrabeat, Darren Styles, Flip & Fill and so on. The tracks what really appealed to me was: Never Ending Dream - Cascada (will always be remembered) Sure Feels Good - Ultrabeat & ...
...Posse & Soraya Lucky Star - Killa Deejays & Sarah Baker Heaven And Earth - Flip & Fill/Jo James I have always wondered how Flip & Fill and Ultrabeat manage all these superb mixes time after time... The key track has gotta be the remix of Umbrella - Rihanna & Jay-Z, which the original topped number one for some time. As usual, you cant like every track, and quite a few didn't take to my fancy, but you dont care anyway, particually when some of ... Read review

Review of Foley Room - Amon Tobin by Jimmy_Luxury

Advantages: Sonically astounding.
Disadvantages: Where's the love?

Amon Tobin. Just his name, for those in the know, sends a chill down the spine. I first heard his music when his 2002 album, Out From Out Where, was released, so some will say i'm quite new to his music, but it feels like I have been listening to his work for ever. Please forgive the cheese. To start, I just want to say that at some point or another, you have ALL at least heard one track from this man. And you have all enjoyed it. I guarantee you. ...
...Keeting, enjoyed a few of his tracks. His music has been popular on TV programs and adverts for quite some time. Mr Tobin resides on the Ninja Tune label, and hopefully thats where he will stay. This label promotes artistic freedom over unit sales like no other, which has led to Amon becoming their biggest selling artist and biggest draw at live events. For his history see Amontobin.com. In most music reviews, comparisons can usually be drawn from ... Read review

Not all it's cracked up to be
Review of Ultimate Streetdance (The Biggest Collection Of Electro, Hip Hop & Street Beats) - Various Artists by Clare897

Advantages: There are a few good songs and some classics like Run DMC - "It's like that"
Disadvantages: Many average songs

Like the title says, for me, this CD was nowhere near as good as I expected it to be. From all the hype from the TV adverts I thought it would be pretty decent, but I have to say it's just average. There are SOME good songs, for example Mint Royale's "Singin in the rain", however considering there are 2 CD's I was expecting at least 10 or more good songs, wheras I'd say there are only maybe 4 or 5 on the whole 2 discs! Disc one consists of "Streetdance" ...
...and H2O appearing. Disc 2 is the "breakdance" disc and I have to say I personally favour this disc. It has a few more classic tunes such as Run DMC - It's like that. Overall I'd say if you want to have a good dance then you may like this compilation especially if you do streetdance. However I think that alot of the songs on this CD are quite old and many streetdance fans may already have them on other CD's. In my opinion it's not as good as I expected ... Read review
