GREATEST HITS, IS IT WORTH BUYING ? YES IT IS !!!
Review of Greatest Hits (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Jay-Z by angelshalo

Advantages: No matter what your mood, you can unwind to this
Disadvantages: It is a greatest hits CD, so you might have herd a few of the songs

...that ever lived, and this greatest hits CD is proof. Its packed with some amazing tracks from the past decade, and although its a greatest hits CD, there are a few unheard tracks too! It features 18 tracks , some of which included are ' hard knock life', ' i know what girls like', 'dead presidents 2' and 'regrets' It features the sounds of many artists, Puff Daddy, Beanie Seigal and Mary J Blige to name a few. There is something on this CD for ...
...you in, wheather it be emotional or you have a party vibe. I am not really a big fan of Jay-z and i dont regularly go out and buy CD's but I heard this at a friends house and I was instantly hooked! This is a must have for fans and new listeners! P.s, Look out for 'More money,More Cash,Moe Hoes' ... Read review

Good but no Cigar!
Review of Kingdom Come (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Jay-Z by comedybegs

Advantages: Production is second to none and it has some great tracks!
Disadvantages: A bit too commercial and two songs are awful!

...a quality album from Jay, Kingdom Come lacks a certain something that you expect from the Greatest Rapper Alive. As a hardcore Jay-Z fan, I am left a little bit dissapointed even though it is at least on par (if not better) with his competitors albums such as Nas and The Game. I feel that on this album he lacks the desire he had when he was just starting as you can't feel the hunger that you come to expect from him and it certainly seems like he ...
...This is the title track Kingdom Come, which is also a great song. This is more like the Jay-Z of old with good rhymes and fantastic flow. 5/5 Track 4 - Show Me What You Got - the first single off the album which is catchy and is a great Jay track even though it is more commercial than most of the tracks. After a few listens it does get a bit boring unfortunately. 4.5/5 Track 5 - Lost Ones - Absolutely fantastic! A touchign song that mentions the ... Read review

The King is Back
Review of Kingdom Come (Parental Advisory/+DVD) [PA] - Jay-Z by skimber

Advantages: Old school beats
Disadvantages: Nothing!

I think this album is great, really like the old school hip hop. A couple of tracks are quite self indulgent, but most are really good, the first track released (give me what you got) is one for the summer and Lost ones is definately worth checking out, even for people who aren't hardcore fans. The cover is like 3D so depending on whether you get a green or red case you get a different cover which is a nice bonus! I got it for about ten ponds at ... Read review

Banner Gittin' Buck
Review of Certified (Parental Advisory) [PA] - David Banner by XICripZ

Advantages: Lots of variety
Disadvantages: A few weaker tracks

"Certified" is the fourth album from the Mississippi rapper David Banner. I thought that I had to go back seeing that I enjoyed his latest 2008 release, "The Greatest Story Ever Told" so much, so I thought that I would see similar quality from this 2005 piece, which has him do both the rapping and a fair proportion of the production. 1. "Lost Souls" To get things going we drive straight into some straight Dirty South rap. I found that he was effective ...
...wislt managing ito integrate his influences of Rock into things with some guitar work too. **Three Stars** 2. "Treat Me Like A" (feat. Jadakiss) I still don't get how Jadakiss keeps thinking he can on some Crunk beats, but he does it once again as Lil' Jon does the production, and aside the parts which Jada takes up, it is a strong Hip Hop cut for the clubs. **Four Stars** 3. "Gangsta Walk" (feat. Three 6 Mafia, Marcus, 8Ball & MJG) On this one ... Read review

It Looks Like He Won
Review of Me Against The World [PA] - 2Pac by XICripZ

Advantages: Consistent quality
Disadvantages: One slip in quality

"Me Against The World" is the third album by the West Coast Rap legend 2Pac who was killed in 1996 as a result of a fatal shooting. The album came a year before this and has him rapping in what has been called a "nothing to lose" persona as he raps during a difficult time in his life as he was shot five times late in 1994, and was in prison for the release of the record. Despite all this, he was able to top the charts with his music, even with him ...
..."Intro" 2. "If I Die 2Nite" Heavy in bitter alliteration, this one has 'Pac's attitude for the whole release summed up as he really just doesn't care what happens to himslef, as he lives each day for what it is, and knows there's no point in pre-planning anything. **Four Stars** 3. "Me Against The World" Giving him a littel sample of G-Funk with a synth-based prodcution to hand, this one has the artist come with adesperate track, where he describes ... Read review
