Not just your average Ibiza album
Advantages: Great for relaxing to. Not your average Ibiza album. Disadvantages: Can be a bit too relaxing at times. Not to everyone's taste.
I'm not your typical Ibiza type. I want to get that straight before we start.
Anyhow, the other day, I was sitting in front of the infernal box, watching some high-brow programme when an advert came on for this album. It seemed fairly laid back and didn't bring up too many images of drugged up pillocks on some Mediteranian island. As the cover notes go out of their way to explain, there are different sides to Ibiza, the not-so-chilled-out side, ... ...is definately worth paying attention to.
The album is a two-CD set, CD1 being the more laid back of the two. It starts with the mellow sounds of Kinobe's "Slip into something more comfortable", and manages to avoid anything that I'd heard of until Massive Attack's "Teardrop" with it's pounding bass. A fair way apart from each other, but still quite different.
CD1 carries on with more people I've not heard of, before revealing just how long this ...

Life Goes On
Advantages: One of the few REAL hip hop classics ever! Disadvantages: none!
...revenge, fear but most of all it is full of love..
Tupac Shakur had just come from serving eight or nine months in Clinton Correctional Facility, and was full of energy. He had a mission, to show all the people that left him for dead that he was a hundred times better without them... and on this album he did!
This is the first ever double CD in the hip hop genre. Which features the biggest names in west coast gangsta rap, amoung others Dr Dre, ... ...the black panthers.
2. All Bout U - "every other city we go, every other radio, no matter where i go, i see the same hoe!" very funny song, talking about the women in the video's. The inspiration for the song came from a video shoot... Nate Dogg, Pac and Snoop were at a shooting when they realised they new all the girls in the video! if Pac didnt know one of them, either Snoop or Nate did, if Snoop didnt know one of them, then Pac or Nate did! and ...

Christmas Rappin' (With Not Kurtis Blow)
Advantages: Lots of big tunes Disadvantages: One average tune
...you tend to connect with Christmas time. **Four Stars** 3.“Dana Dane Is Coming To Town” - Dana Dane Here we get a funky jam that I really can't see any rooms for complaints in as we find that Dana Dane comes in with some storytelling rhymes that seem to take on all that Slick Rick was known for (even though he didn't debut as a solo artist until the year after this). He comes out with flows which have him telling a rather straight-forward tale that ... ...making good use of past Christmas song samples to help him as he does his thing. **Five Stars** 7.“He's Santa Claus” - Disco 4 Starting off with a little “Jingle Bells” (as just about ever other on this album up to this point) we see that we get a track that soon changes its direction as the cold beats come into effect and the rappers in the crew come to do their thing by all giving each other a chance to lay down their own stuff on the mic(rophone) ...

8? So What Happened The The Other 4?
Advantages: Bangers throughout Disadvantages: Nothing specific
Their second album of 2001, “8 Days of Christmas” followed “Survivor” as the fourth album from the R&B trio Destiny's Child. Using the line-up that the group worked with from the point when they reached mainstream popularity (with Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) it finds them bringing a Christmas-themed album containing mainly well-known festive tunes, as well as a couple of reworked ones and completely original songs. 1.“8 ... ...the album with the titular track to this release and the biggest single from the original version of the album (with a latter edition going on to include “Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer” a fresh re-make of “The 12 Days of Christmas” and fill it out with the types of things that they would actually want to have. It is a banger of a tune and the perfect way to start things off. **Five Stars** 2.“Winter Paradise” We find that the act are backed up by ...
