C-O-Double M-O To The N
Review of Electric Circus [PA] - Common by XICripZ

Advantages: Lots of variety
Disadvantages: Experiments aren't always that strong

"Electric Circus" is the fifth album from the Conscious Chicago MC, Common. It came out in 2002, three years before he really broke out when he was given lots of Kanye West production on "Be". Since he is considered to be "alternative" in terms of Hip Hop, he isn't limited in any way to what he does, and here he takes advantage of this by choosing to implement Electronica, Funk and Neo-Soul to his work 1. "Ferris Wheel" (Intro) 2. "Soul Power" ...
...that when he's behind the production, you are bound to have it come up with great results, and they work fantastically well with the way in which Common performs his raps. He refers to all the people who have gone on to aid him in the world when it comes to music. **Four Stars** 3. "Aquarius" Looking at this in light of listneign through th labum as a whole, this is a pretty unmmeorable one from Common, and one which I expect you to overlook, ... Read review

Ronson's Hip Hop Days
Review of Here Comes The Fuzz [PA] - Mark Ronson by XICripZ

Advantages: Great collabs
Disadvantages: Nothing specific

...Dogg, Trife and Saigon) Here was the massive single which came off the single and managed to DJ Mark Ronson's name up in the world as he came with a heavy breakbeat joint which featured a host of diffenret MCs, as well as the vocals of Long Beach's Nate Dogg to give a soulful edge to this breakers cut. **Five Stars** 4. "High" (feat. Aya) On this one you have such an exciting arangemtn as you have amrk Rosnons go into a Funk trac, with another ...
...is heard around that area. Here he performs a story out in Slick Rick fashion. mark Ronson kills it with samples of Hip Hop the eighties, such as Audio Two's "Top Billin'" **Five Stars** 8. "On The Run" (feat. Mos Def & M.O.P.) Rconson shows us that he knwons what the NYC scen is liek when it comes to Hip hop as he takes it way back by gogin for some funky beats to match the earlier years of the genre with a colloaboation from Brooklyn's Mos Def ... Cassie (Album)
Review of Cassie - Cassie by Loughran

Advantages: Great tracks, Excellent beats and great singing from Cassie
Disadvantages: Not enough tracks and some weak tracks

...25 seconds long, however Cassie does have other singles out (one notably appearing on Step Up 2 which she appeared in and it is called "Is It You?") and she has a new album coming out very soon but the title of it is still to be announced. Track 1 - Me & U - 3:12 - The best track on the album without a doubt, cutting edge beat which is really memorable and the lyrics and singing by Cassie is magical - 5* Track 2 - Long Way To Go - 3:40 - The second ...
...catchy beat and singing by Cassie - 5* Track 3 - About Time - 3:33 - A good track with compelling hook, but not the best lyrics or beat - 3* Track 4 - Kiss Me ft. Ryan Leslie - 4:07 - An unmemorable track to be honest, not the best lyrics or singing however has a decent R&B influenced beat - 2* Track 5 - Call U Out ft. Yung Joc - 3:32 - A really good track, with good rapping from Yung Joc and great singing from Cassie. Also has a great beat - ... Read review

Classic Euphoria 3CD
Review of Classic Euphoria - Various Artists by Art007

Advantages: Great tracks, classic mixing, seriously chilled.
Disadvantages: Avoid second-hand copies..........

...is much better than the Classic Euphoria Level 2 which I also have. Highly chilled and with top tracks like; Chicane "Saltwater", Art of Trance "Madagacar", William Orbit " Barber's Adagio for Strings", Olive "You're Not Alone", Push "Strange World", to name but a few. It features long mixes and about 3 "Chicane" numbers which are all brilliant. Not deeply chilled but not intrusive. Sit down and relax to this compilation, it does wonders for me. ... Read review

...And Your Radio's Def When My Record's On
Review of Radio - LL Cool J by XICripZ

Advantages: Classic Hip Hop
Disadvantages: A couple of the tunes are a little weak

"Radio" is the debut release from LL Cool J, a rapper who has stuck with his record label, Def Jam since its creation a year before this album came out. LL's 1985 record came 23 years before his latest release "Exit 13" which recently came out, and so clearly this one shows how long he's been in the game, and the progression he has made. Upon release, Ladies Love Cool James (LL Cool J), the MC was only 17 years old, and had shown strong potential, ...
...Live Without My Radio" The track which the album is named after is the one to get things started for this album as you have LL Cool J come on some hard Rick Rubin beats about how his life revolves around his radio, and the music which it plays for him. Thsi is a powerful way to kick it all off, and you are bound to enjoy it. **Four Stars** 2. "You Can't Dance" This is a high-tmepo track by LL as he basically rpis poepl who go out on the dance ...
