Annie - The New Princess Of Pop???

Advantages: Ridculously Catchy Pop
Disadvantages: Errrr none really!

My six year old sister introduced me to Annie... cos she kept singing this damn 'Chewing Gum' tune which I though was like a kids TV theme... then I saw it on the box and thought "genius". Who is Annie? Well shes a popstress from Sweden (I think lol) where she is very well know and about to tour. Deep View on Original Pirate Material

Advantages: Metaphors, philosophy, ethnic issue's "drugs vs achool" Down to earth
Disadvantages: vocals not perfect

The album is good stuff in referance to track "irony of it all" where the comparrison of drug's and achool is made - in a way that is easy to understand. I feel that this kind of arguement allows me to think further on the issue - it is deeper, I guess. I find this an example of mike Skinners down to earth approch to music, another example of is: "don't mug yourself" I to have been in a simular situation, where finding it hard not to think of a girl ...
...easy to relate to. Although in previous tracks of the album mike has a positive take on the drug canibis, in the song "stay positive" he describes a darker path onto drugs "weed becomes a chore" - then starts going into the negatives of class A drugs. I feel he tackles it in a creative way - where anyone down on their luck could possibly relate to the song. Powerful Stuff

Advantages: philosophy, metaphors, strong emotions, deep
Disadvantages: vocals not perfect

I am going to start with the strongest track in this album "The Escapist" I find it amazing how it use's metaphors to describe what I belive is the secreat to creative thinking "the walls were never really there" "no barriers, no boundries" inspiring free thinking in my eyes. Further more mike mentions " i'm not traped in a box " which to me says the artist of this track is open minded to all possibilities. " i am not here at all your dearly fooled" ...
...the song to the walk, your missing the metaphor - I feel used to descirbe a way of thinking. The Song "love you more" this is very deep.
