More of the same which isn't a bad thing
Advantages: Great melodic, jazzy chillout. More consistent than the 1st album. Disadvantages: The electronic sounds are less subtle than the 1st album
...hiding the sticks and stones
When I feel the unknown
You feel like home, you feel like home"
I personally like the playful tone, the soaring strings in the chorus and the way the tune melts away into rhodes noodling at the end.
Another album highlight for me is the instrumental "Look Up" which does not feel out of place next to the vocal tracks. It does feature a female voice going "Dah-ah-ah-ah" towards the end but there is no singing and no ... ...acoustic guitar is engaging and when the sunny harmonica kicks in, it just gets better.
So the big question is: how does "When It Falls" compare to the 1st album "Simple Things"?
Well there is more consistency and more vocal tracks which is good. On the downside though, the incredible ambient soundscapes (for example in "Destiny" in the 1st album) are gone. The fusion of instruments, electronic sounds and background tinkering in "Simple Things" ...

Under Construction
Advantages: TBA Disadvantages: TBA
This review is being rewritten at the moment, and will reappear when I'm happy with it. I'm currently rewriting all of my old reviews to make them better and more in line with 'proper' reviews like you see on the liks of Pitchfork or Stylus, and naturally that's going to take a bit of work. Sorry for being massively inconvinient, but that's just how I roll, folks! I'll try to rewrite this review as quickly as possible, but for the moment I've written ... ...serve as a place holder until my glorious full and proper review is created. This is a severely disappointing album, with few highlights. The only songs I can recommend are "Pagaent of the Bizarre" and "Waiting To Die", two fizzy pop songs that are the only decent tracks on here. A let-down. ...

Yes to Yeah Ghost.
Advantages: Good Music, Good Lyrics, Good sounds. Disadvantages: New
...get it. When I got Yeah Ghost, I was surprised however. This music was happy. And uplifting. It wasn't Zero 7, but it was good. I looked it up to see that this was somewhat a "new direction for them." Released this September, Yeah Ghost is a marvelous album for those who like Trip-Hop or Psychedelic Jazz. It generally follows Zero 7's style, except for the attitude of the music. It is more poppy and happier. I've listened to this album countless ... ...album was "Medicine Man." It was happier and made me feel better than any other work of Zero 7. Yeah, Ghost is yet another great CD from Zero 7. New, happier sound for them, though. New but good. Good amount of music and even better songs. The quality far outweighs the price. I loved this album. ...

Summer Reggae - Booty Shake!
Advantages: Regae, RnB originals Disadvantages: Too many songs by same artist.
Ok, where do I start. There are three discs to talk about. Well theres the first thing, there are three discs. Disc 1 is ya more up to date songs with your Sean Paul, Kevin Little and your Shaggy artists. Some of the best, most modern regaae tunes. They are some of the BEST booty shake tracks of the last few years. You can help but start to wiggle those hips, even if your not really that into reggae or RnB. I think most of the songs on disc one, ... ...very similar songs but are slightly older, maybe fix or six years ago. But are the songs that everybody remembers and says "ooh ooh what sthat tune thats go........zim zimma" and you cant think for the life of you what it is. Well now you will cus they are all on there. One thing that does annoy me slightly with disc 2 is there a two songs by the same singer i.e. elephant man has two songs, beanie man has two songs. Dont get me wrong the songs are ...

Viva Diablo Blanco: Freestyle beats Vol. 1
Advantages: It just feels right Disadvantages: where is vol 2 ???
The Viva Diablo Blanco compilation is a carefully selection of hyms of drum'n'bass / ambient tunes from the mid 90's. You'll be sure to rebember tracks such as Apollo 440's "Ain't Talking about dub" and Fat Boy Slim's "Song for Linda" and at the same time recall some less mainstream artists such as The Aloof and The Art of Noise and on top some very good remixes by the likes of the brazillian collective Filla Brazilia and others.
All in all this ...
