Ladies leave your man at home.... Advantages: Excellent catchy songs Disadvantages: Nothing at all!!! Destiny's Child are definitely great singers! This LP has got some ballads as well as upbeat songs with an RnB feel to it! I think its one of the best albums that I own by them - and they are excellent rolesmodels. 1. Intro - Nothing much to say about it - other than its short. 2. So Good - I think this is an excellent song! Really energetic and fun to sing along to!!! 3. Bills, Bills, Bills - First single they released from this album and I still ... ...definitely get stuck in your head!!! 4. Confessions (Featuring Missy Elliott)- This song is cool. And love the lyrics to sing along to. Background music makes this song really original. 5. Bug-A-Boo - This is another of their massive hits. It can be really annoying if heard to many time (it really annoys me sometimes!!!) This song will easily get stuck in your head. 6. Advantages: Bangers throughout Disadvantages: Nothing specific Their second album of 2001, “8 Days of Christmas” followed “Survivor” as the fourth album from the R&B trio Destiny's Child. Using the line-up that the group worked with from the point when they reached mainstream popularity (with Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams) it finds them bringing a Christmas-themed album containing mainly well-known festive tunes, as well as a couple of reworked ones and completely original songs. 1.“8 ... ...the album with the titular track to this release and the biggest single from the original version of the album (with a latter edition going on to include “Rudolph the Red-Nose Reindeer” a fresh re-make of “The 12 Days of Christmas” and fill it out with the types of things that they would actually want to have. Unfulfilling! Advantages: Soldier. Disadvantages: Everything else. I bought this CD back in 2004 for one reason only; I liked the track 'Soldier'. Oh okay, a band that produced videos with Kelly Rowland, Michelle Williams and Beyonce prancing around, well, what can I say. This album was the fourth studio album and was produced in 2004. On to the serious business of the music. ~~~Tracks~~~ 1. Lose My Breath Quite a lively number very catchy in a club R&B style. Great use of what I think are trumpets. What I do ... ...being overtly sexual in an industry that is male dominated. Not a great song but a decent lively opener 6/10. 2. Soldier (featuring T.I. & Lil Wayne) The reason I bought the album, great mix of R&B and rap/hip hop, great bass line and use of drums. Again an overtly predatory sexual song. It is very raw and tough and full of innuendo "Known to carry big things if you know what I mean". The vocal 'turns' that the women have really works well. No I'm Sorry, They Look Like Some Hippies To Me Advantages: A few big tunes Disadvantages: Inconsistent In 1989 the trio of Posdnuos, Trugoy, Maseo came together as De La Soul to release their debut album. It found the group moving Hip Hop in a new direction as with backing from Stetsasonic’s Prince Paul, they chose to support a then underground movement to bring positivity back to the genre using ways which got them a reputation for putting forth ‘Hippy’ ideals. 1. "The Magic Number" Getting the album going properly, you hear that they ... ...album, and I have to say that despite the fact it was one of the most popular cuts from it, it simply wasn’t something I felt anything for as you see that they do one where they try to show some degree of contrast to what yo hear elsewhere with other Hip Hop acts by doing a whole track dedicated to the number three, but I just wasn’t getting it.
