buhloone mind state. odd name. but for true hip-hop fans, this is arguably the greatest work ever done by de la soul, who themselves are legends in the rap game. it was an album i bought a long time ago, and it took me several listens to like it. at first, i dismissed it. too different. i picked it up again about a year later, and it had all changed. it holds my favourite song of theirs: "i am, i be" - a beautiful off-paced exhibition of lyricism. ...
