Stone me, this is good. Advantages: Best British soul offering for some time. Disadvantages: Not everones taste. The Soul Sessions was Joss Stone's debut album. Released in 2003 when Joss was only just 17 years old. Incredible in itself for such a mature debut at such an early age, what seems even more stunning to me was that this soul inspired album is by a British artiste. I am having so much fun converting my CD's to itunes, listening to albums that have been neglected. The artwork both on the cover of the CD case and on the CD itself is pretty retro, ... ...the respected publication 'Mojo': "The soul sessions is a revelation". Many of the songs are not her own, being penned in the sixties by artistses such as Betty Wright, who agreed to work with Joss on this CD, another shock to me, American soul legends collaborating with a 16 year old English girl, wow, they must have seen her talent. Track 1. The Chokin' kind. What a fantastic opening track. A great CD for the car Advantages: some great songs Disadvantages: a couple of bad tunes "Tasty" is an extremely good album by Kelis, the album has got some great songs on it for example "Trick Me", "Millionaire", "Milkshake", "Glow", "Keep It Down", "In Public" and "Attention". All in all the CD has got fourteen tracks on it, and there is only a couple of songs that I wasn't too keen on, however that might just be myself other people might love the whole album. A couple of friends that I have talked to have said that they love the whole ... ...to her songs they make you sing along to aloud no matter where you are. The album is good to listen to when you are just chilling out at home on your own or when you have a party aswell. But I personally feel that the best time to listen to this album is when you are travelling in your car. JAMEEEEEEEEEELIA Advantages: Goood catchy rythyms Disadvantages: Some bad tracks Jamelia burst into the charts in 2004 with her new single - the catchy 'Superstar'. She had tried for a musical career in the charts before, and hardly any one knew her, but with a comeback song as good as Superstar everybody knew she would be a great success. Superstar is a song about going to a club with your friends - seeing a guy and liking him - with an oh so catchy tune everyone even people who dont like r'n'b are singing along to it. Her next ... ...abusing her when she got married at a young age. It says thankyou for making her stronger, and teaching her she has to stand up for things. Her next song 'See it in a boys eyes' is basically saying that she can see when a boy knows he is doing something he doesnt want to . DJ is a funky, beating song about going to a club with your mates and having a great time!!! This ablum is full of different beats and it has loads of differnt music on it. jay sean - u kicked it!! Advantages: Fab new(ish) artist - top beats! nice album :) Disadvantages: could be slightly more upbeat - & a couple of the songs sound the same this is a really good album :) really fresh n new stuff.. im loving the asian music blended with the rnb voice - really original (well apart from the other new asian acts up and coming!! like raghav).. i can see why jay sean left studying medicine for a career in music! - it's worked out well for him.. apart from got my eyes on you - which most people have heard - stolen is really good as are a few other songs.. nice to listen to if you're just chilling ... ...massive rnb fan and however hard i try - i cant compare jay sean to the big rnb acts out there (well the old rnb stuff that i love eg. 112, jagged edge etc).. he's good but it falls more on the 'pop' wagon than the rnb -- but it's still a top album :) ... hunni786 17.09.2005 · Read full review Ciao members have rated this review on average: helpful Review of Me Against Myself (Parental Advisory) [ECD] [PA] - Jay Sean	Originality Lyrics Quality and consistency... The Only CD You Need For Disco Advantages: Fantastic Variety Disadvantages: None ...oldies but goodies, that make you want to sing and dance. Ofcourse it holds all of the 70's classics like The Jacksons, Earth Wind and Fire and Candi Staton, which you find on all other 70's and disco cd's but 101 Disco Anthems has so much more "Hustle" to offer! ...
