THE BEST clubland album of all time! Advantages: Old & new songs Disadvantages: none ...memories, this is THE BEST clubland album yet, with 3 cds packed full of classic clubland songs you will be listening to it for hours! What great about this album is that there is old songs aswell as new so it is just perfect! Recommend to people who used to listen to or still do listen to clubland, all the old tracks will make you say "Remember this one!?" and the new tracks will have you ravin' for sure. Some funky classic dance for you Advantages: fantastic clubbing songs, funky and poppy Disadvantages: few cheesy ones Recieved this cd as a gift a few years ago and i still have it in the car, pumping all the great dance tunes through the speakers. I am usually into my harder house music but this cd is excellent with a very funky feel to it. There are of course some songs i don't like on it but you can't please everyone and thats what the skip button is for on a cd player. No Frogs Here Advantages: Superlative dance music classic Disadvantages: One or two slightly weaker tracks There have been so many dance acts over the last ten years, I find it hard to remember any of them. In fact, dance music is so risible nowadays, clubs like Ministry and the Ibiza super-clubs must have a hard time filling their dancefloors. I mean who's going to be dancing to that damn-awful stupid frog song? Please tell me it's not you … Anyway, there have been or two notable exceptions, and Faithless, with their infectious brand of catchy riffs, ... ...have released consistently good tunes. So when I saw the advert's for this CD, I knew I had to have it. Father's day arrives and my lovely daughter buys it for me. Woo hoo. A little background … Faithless consists of three main protagonists; Sister Bliss, Maxi Jazz and Rollo. Cool names huh? Sis' provides all the keyboards while Maxi brings along his unique lyrical and rap style and Rollo writes and produces. Stone me, this is good. Advantages: Best British soul offering for some time. Disadvantages: Not everones taste. The Soul Sessions was Joss Stone's debut album. Released in 2003 when Joss was only just 17 years old. Incredible in itself for such a mature debut at such an early age, what seems even more stunning to me was that this soul inspired album is by a British artiste. I am having so much fun converting my CD's to itunes, listening to albums that have been neglected. The artwork both on the cover of the CD case and on the CD itself is pretty retro, ... ...the respected publication 'Mojo': "The soul sessions is a revelation". Many of the songs are not her own, being penned in the sixties by artistses such as Betty Wright, who agreed to work with Joss on this CD, another shock to me, American soul legends collaborating with a 16 year old English girl, wow, they must have seen her talent.
