Death Row Brings Tha Dogg Bacc
Advantages: Previously-unreleased material Disadvantages: Lacks the energy of most of his albums
...from Snop whilst on the Dead Row record label, without the artists permission. All the tracks were recorded between 1993 and 1998, so it is highly varied in style and quality. 1. "May I"
This is a massively strong way to get things goign as you have a piece of quality material from Snoop getting things going, showing that he had a lot more potentinal in him than what was released in "Doggystyle", and "Tha Doggfather", not that they weren't great ... ...Snoop gets his Crip Walk on with this one, showing that even Gs need to boogie, even if its just to send a message out to opposite gang members. It is a funky G-Funk tune, which you are bound to like if you wre into material from "Tha Doggfather", and that time in his career. **Four Stars**
3. "Head Doctor"
I wouldn't havre said that this one is anywhere near as good as the majority of the tracks on the album, however it serves a perpose within ...

Masterpiece by the master
Advantages: sublime lyrics Disadvantages: none
...its verry good. "Up Jump tha Boogie" and "Snoop Bounce" show what Snoop can do with a swanky beat. The next song has my favorite Snoop flow ever. Hes just rapping real fast about randome stuff and is undicribable. One of my favorite rap songs. Listen to the sample they have here. "Gold Rush" is a great song with Kurupt on it who always makes the best songs with Snoop Dogg. It has a western film fell to it. "Me and My Doggz" is another one of the ... ...Dee who us now in Tha Eastsidaz now. "Snoops Upside Ya Head" is another great song with an exeptionaly catchy chorus. "Doggyland" is another good one with a unique sound. The final track is Snoop and 2Pac playing live and its sortta haunting the way it ends. you'll see if you get it.
Overall I can't say this is Snoops best album but its the only one that I can listen to all the way through without haveing to skip a single track. Overall its well ...

Dat's Jus' How Da Dogg Duz It, Cuz
Advantages: No weak tracks Disadvantages: Nothing specific
Released in 1993, "Doggystyle" is the debut album from the West Coast rapper known then as Snoop Doggy Dogg. It alongside Dr. Dre's "The Chronic", managed to get then then-upcoming West Coast sub-genre of G-Funk into the public eye. This style, pioneered by Dr. Dre was a type of production which could only really adapt to the gangsta style of West Coast rappers as it used funky rhythm with hard beats.
This was Snoop's most successful album, getting ... ...influential rap albums in terrms of the development of Hip Hop. This is likely due to the fact that the rap game had recently settled out on the West Coast and gangsta rap was introduced, bringing Ice-T, Coolio and NWA to the forefront of rap at the time, and with this and The Chronic", a further stage of development came out as this G-Funk sound came into play. Since it's his debut album, I feel I should give a little information on him. He is a ...

plenty of style but plenty of poop too
Advantages: Good, funky music, markable production Disadvantages: awful lyrics, glorifying rape
...13. Chronic Break 14. Doggy Dogg World 15. U Betta Ask Somebody 16. G'z & Hustlas 17. U Betta Recognise 18. Pump Pump This album was a joint effort between producer Dr. Dre, and rapper Snoop Dogg. Dr. Dre is considered by many with justification as the greatest grandmaster music producer of Hip-Hop, basing his influences and samples on the Funk music of bands like Parliament, George Clinton, Funkadelic, and Zapp & Roger Troutman, and blending them ... ...with head nodding beats to create a smooth musical texture for the vocalist to sink his teeth into and spit with a commanding delivery. Snoop Dogg had appeared on Dr. Dre's own album "The Chronic" and gained a high profile for his portrayal of a ruthless, trigger happy gangster killer with a disturbingly cool and disaffected sing-song delivery. When Dr. Dre and him pulld together to make this back in 1993- Snoop's first solo album, Hip Hop fans were ...

Dre, Snoop and their Great Hits
Advantages: All of the hits Disadvantages: Lots of the tracks are already on Death Row's other album
...two of the leading artists from this record label, Dr. Dre and Snoop Dogg. Other artists included are Tha Dogg Pound, RBX and Jewell.
Here we are brought with all of the most well-know hits by the leading rap artist from this side of America at the time. Its amazing how they all managed to ork under a single lable as a force against the rest of those in this genre of music. Theer is a lot of good in this compiaion album with little to complain about, ... ...of California. It takes you from the streets to the prisons and the affect on this to thier families. A deeply depressing track heavily contrasting some of the other material on the LP.
6. Lodi Dodi - Snoop Doggy Dogg & Nancy Fletcher

You don't even need weed to get high when you have this tune, it feels as if you are already. This is some prime level Snoop off his debut LP.
This is a cover of Doug E. Fresh & Slick Rick's "La Di ...
