Advantages: More Fantastic beats from Timbaland and great collaborations
Disadvantages: None

...Track 1 Baby Girl Interlude/Intro: This is a suprising intro where as Missy ussaly talks on her intros and interludes this intro has a fantastic beat and features the extrodinary vocals of the talented Mary J Blige. Part of this intro also features on Missy fisrt single off this album ' Pass That Dutch'. Track 2 Bomb Intro/ Pass That Dutch: This intro just features Missy talking about her music. After the bomb drops the fantastic beat and heavy ...
...released a fantastic album for this track. Track 3 Wake Up (Featuring Jay Z): This track has great lyrical content which is quite thought provoking. Again Missy works with the great Jay Z and as shown before they work very very well together. Track 4 Keep It Movin ( Featuring Elephant Man): This track sounds different to Missy's usual sound but t sounds different in a good way. This track shows that Missy is able to create new sounds and make them ... Read review

Hot Girl
Review of Da Real World [ECD] [PA] - Missy "Misdemeanor" Elliott by joannahudson

Advantages: Great dance tunes, original beats and instrumentation
Disadvantages: none

...and full of attitude. Da Real World is Missy’s second album, the first being the brilliant ‘Supa Dupa Fly’, which itself was an album of hip-hop/soul that had a sound I for one had never heard before. Ever since hearing ‘Sock it to me’ in 1997 I knew this was a sound that was going to be big, and it was. The Timbaland-inspired skippy beats and unusual synth sounds were (and still are) heard everywhere. Producers everywhere ...
...to make it big. Da Real World is a cross between the more soulful 'Supa Dupa Fly' and the harder, more pure hip-hop album, 'Miss-E So Addictive'. It is a combination of beautifully sung soul songs and hard-hitting rap tracks. 1. Intro. The album starts with a big intro, an electronic voice telling us all that the sounds of Missy and Timba are not from the year 2000, but from the future, from the year 3000. 2. Beat Biters. We are then thrown into ... Read review

Great Construction
Review of Under Construction [PA] - Missy Elliott by base453

Advantages: A Really Good Hip Hop Album
Disadvantages: None Really

This is a good Missy Elliott Album it has many different beats adn her and Timbaland show they still work excellently together. Missy Elliott has been around for quite a few years and in this album still shows she has. Intro: well its a intro so really there is nothing much to be said. Track 1 Go To The Floor: This is a up beat tune with very creative lyrics. Missy explains how she acts on a night out. She uses her great stlye to explain how she ...
...Track 2 Bring The Pain (Featuring Method Man): This is a good old skool beat and is well finished with a great rap from Method Man. This is also a great beat. Track 3 Gossip Folks ( Featuring Ludacris): This is a great up beat song featuring the unique talent of Ludacris. In this track Missy talks about the people that gossip about her and how she don't like it. Missy also released a great video for this track. Track 4 Work It: This is one of the ... Read review

Sex and Drugs and Rigmarole
Review of Miss E...so Addictive (Clean Version) - Missy \"Misdemeanor\" Elliott by stoffy

Advantages: 'Get UR Freak On' is a classic track
Disadvantages: too many fillers and bland 'guest' artists

So many artists and albums have been influenced by illegal drugs, whether it be the Beatles during their ‘Lucy In The Sky of Diamonds’ phase (LSD), Bob Marley (cannabis) or Lolly (a heady cocktail of just about everything going form the sounds of it). During the late 80’s and early 90’s, Ecstasy became the drug of choice for clubbers everywhere, and was synonymous with house music and its various offshoots. However, 2001 saw a new spate of Ecstasy-inspired ...
...new dimension to the usual guns and violence themes that had previously ran more prevalently. Perhaps the less subtle conveyor of this phenomenon was Missy Elliott on her album ‘Miss E... So Addictive’. Despite claiming the album was nothing to do with the drug (!), the imagery and the lyrics spell out the exact opposite. After the mandatory intro track, complete with Missy demanding to ‘take a hit on me’, we are launched into the charmingly titled ... Read review

Just As Nice & Smooth As Before
Review of Ain't A Damn Thing Changed - Nice & Smooth by XICripZ

Advantages: Great production
Disadvantages: Little variation

"Ain't A Damn Thing Changed" is the 1991 release from the East Coast Hip Hop duo of Gregg Nice and Smooth B, Nice & Smooth. It comes two years after their debut album "Nice and Smooth" which managed to grab the attention of many as they came with humourous rhymes to act as a counter-balance to all the newnew a Gangsta rap which had built up on the West Coast of America. These New Yorkers bring fire in this release, showign how the East Coast can ...
...1991). 1. "Harmonize" Nice & Smooth blaze through with this one as they show what they have to offer in singing as well as rapping with this opener, they do this by harmonizing some of the lyrics, to contrast with the MCing which they perform. The production to it is very suitable to the subject of this as they display what they are capable of, they use Public Enemy samples to show where they have come from (musically). *Three Stars** 2. "Cake ... Read review
