They've Made It There, To... Advantages: Oirginal Disadvantages: Inconsistent In 2006 came an unexpected success as Cee-Lo Green (who found fame as an MC in the Atlanta Hip Hop group Goodie Mob, before having a solo career as a Soul singer) and Danger Mouse (the producer who in addition to these styles, has worked in a range of alternative genres), came to release “St. Elsewhere” as their debut album, going under the name Gnarles Barkley. 1. “Go-Go Gadget Gospel” The album gets underway with a lively composition as the duo ... ...from the very start of the thing by coming up with a tune whihch uses a Hip Hop-based Go-Go backing to support Cee-Lo as he sings in a style which reflects his Gospel past too to come up with one of the most exciting tracks you could possibly think up. It is a great introduction to what is to come on the album. Five Stars 2. “Crazy” This was the breakthrough single for the duo and I have to say that I wasn’t actually drawn to them at this point ... Smells like funk...??! Advantages: Funky!! Disadvantages: Some boring songs on the album! The Blackeyed Peas- Elephunk Interscope records, licensed to Polydor Ltd (UK) The "peas" are also known as Will.i.am, Fergie,Taboo and Apl.de.ap. The peas have been around in the hip hop music scene for years know, and true die hard hip hop/RnB fans may say that their commercialisation has spoilt the genre. However, as one of these fans, I am nothing but impressed with the album. I tend to buy albums that reflect in a certain memory in my life. ... ...throughout the whole of my girlie ski trip to South Germany and became our sound track! From then on, we all had to get it! As a musician myself I can appreciate the fine form of all things musical, but particularly the catchy tunes with a range of rythmical influences such as salsa and latino which i love. In a nutshell then, its just down right funky! In my opinion, the album is very good, strong and powerful. The Eminem Show - by Eminem Advantages: Great quality music, lots of songs to suit your mood Disadvantages: Couple of poor songs, controversial if you're not into this music ...Movie World of Reviews. The Eminem Show is probably the only album I feel I know well enough to write about, so here goes. Rap artist Eminem has been around for over a decade now. He burst into the hiphop/rap scene and created massive controversy and faced ridicule for being a white rapper, fighting against all the black artists such a P. Diddy, D12, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, just to name a few. He began his music life releasing The Slim Shady ... ...Slim Shady, another nickname. Eminem released The Eminem Show in 2002. It sold over a million copies very quickly, and was a bit more playful than his latest two albums (mentioned above). The Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers LPs were very serious, about guns, suicide, killing, how much he hates his mum and family and wants them dead (not nice..), and how he hated other artists. Living Up to Expectations Advantages: Some new tracks and consistency with quality throughout all albums Disadvantages: Most tracks are older tracks Great Album, with a couple of new songs on it, definately lives up to expectations, if you likes the previous albums by eminem then you'll love this because it has a lot of great tracks from other albums as well as several new ones including "when i'm gone". As well as some new remixes. Eminem has always been one of my most loved rappers and he continues to step up to the competion and destroy them on album sales. What you gonna do when they come for you? Advantages: Great acting, good onscreen relationships, great entertainment and very watchable Disadvantages: Unrealistic story line but then it doesn't matter with this film ...and directed by Michael Bay Bad Boys was released in June 1995. **Story Line** Marcus Burnett (Martin Lawrence) and Mike Lowry (Will Smith) are partners in the Miami Police Department. Whilst Lowry is the ultimate ‘pimp’ who enjoys the playboy lifestyle of fast cars and even faster women, Burnett is the ‘traditional’ family man with a wife and 3 kids living the quiet suburbs. $100 million of heroin seized in the biggest drug bust of Burnett’s ... ...and the pair have 72 hours to get it back or potentially lose their jobs as the internal affairs division threaten to close down their division.
