Review of Best Of Snoop Dogg, The (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Snoop Dogg by
CameronLee
Advantages: Got some of the best snoop songs including low and high profile songs
Disadvantages: Not for the light hearted, some violent and explicit nature. Listen with care.
PROMOTING GANG VIOLENCE, DRUGS, AND INCLUDING SOME SEXUAL NATURE, ISN'T EVERYONES IDEA OF FUN. But people familiar with the Rap scene and into hip hop music will be a big fan of this album. Even if you have all his previous album this album is definately worth the money, even more so if you don't.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~n00bs~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Anybody who isn't familiar with snoop doggs other albums/songs, ... ...to be an almost groundbreaking mix of Snoop tracks that would get anyone into hip hop. If your looking for a taster into hip hop this is a great album for you so even if your not considering to buy it I would advise you to have a look at this one. It provides a taste for snoops works and hip hop and most of the tracks aren't very familiar with most people who don't own a snoop dogg album. This was one of my first hip hop albums and I absolutely loved ...
R&G Snoop Dog Album
Review of R&G (Rhythm & Gangsta/Parental Advisory) [PA] - Snoop Dogg by
amylt22
Advantages: Its one of his best
Disadvantages: you have to be in the right mood to enjoy this album
This is one of his best albums.
This album really shows why we all really love snoop dog, he is still one of the best hip-hop gangsters around and keeps on proving it with this album.
This is an album you can listen to for all kind of moods as regards hip-hop, in your car, in the house on your ipod like I do at work. He raps very fluently and good.
If you haven't listened to any of his music before, then this is the fist album I would introduce ... ...pass stuff but its hip-hop you have to expect some.
I would sit down somewhere quiet and really listen to this album before you judge.
Enjoy this album.
The songs that stand out for me are
Step Yo Game Up, feating lil-jon.
Pass it pass it
Bang Out
Oh no feating 50 cent ...
hmm.. not sure
Review of Tha Blue Carpet Treatment (Parental Advisory) [PA] - Snoop Dogg by
s4m3er
Advantages: some old skool tunes
Disadvantages: some annoying chessy songs
Im a big fan of snoop and love his contribution but i have to admit that this album shows the sway from the old skool to modern day cheesy tunes. Snoop voice is still unique and his main strength and he still utilises this he has also done well to get bug names to feature to boost sales but thats it there seems to be more interest in sales then quality and content.
Snoop olds stuff was great and if you liked that then there are only a few songs ... ...His new song candy is honestly awful but some of you may like this and if you do i recommend you buy this.
Snoop may never match doggystyle and this is a fair effort overall the best tune is probably '10 lil crips' which shows his simple beats and great voice bonding well.
But the fact is that there are some decent songs but the bad songs are pretty bad which make them stick out. If you are a snoop fan like me then well its worth a buy as there ...
Snoop Dogg needs to be put to sleep...
Review of Tha Last Meal - Snoop Dogg by
bigdiship-hop
Advantages: Charismatic and Humorous Lines, Some Solid Production, Some Good Guests
Disadvantages: Terrible Lyricism, Constant Filler, Poor No Limit Guests, Commercial, Cliche Subject Matter
...and No Limit, he released Tha Last Meal. Dr. Dre returned to produce some of the tracks, as well as a few other good producers, this would be Snoop Dogg's final No Limit album before moving on to opening his own label: Dogghouse Records. But the real question is.... Is the album good? Read on... Track List & Rating 1. Intro (NOT RATED) 2. Hennesey n' Buddah f/ Kokane (3 Stars) 3. Snoop Dogg (Whats My Name Pt. 2) (3 Stars) 4. True Lies f/ Kokane (2 ... ...the above average cuts on Tha Last Meal, in fact, its a great song. Snoop goes for nostaligia on this, bringing back some of the West Coast's greatest emcees back together to join the Doggfather on this incredible crew joint. N.W.A. alumni MC Ren and Ice Cube pop in, along with former Death Row Records employees Kurupt, Ice Cube, and Nate Dogg. Of course, as you may have figured, Nate hits us with another one of his haunting hooks, but this time ...
Chillin' In The Club In He G-Boy Stance
Review of Tha Doggfather - Snoop Dogg by
XICripZ
Advantages: Consistant quality
Disadvantages: Lots of interludes
...(Lude)
4. "Up Jump Tha Boogie" (feat. Kurupt, Charlie Wilson, Teena Marie)
This one screams out the sound of urban music in the mid ninties, and what has become a craze over '07 and '08 as you have Charlie Wilson singing to the vodocer (similar to T-Pain's auto-tuner), and here it allows you be immersed within the sound of that particluar era. Most Hip Hop fans will recognise the lyrics as part of the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper Delight", and this ... ...rap from Tha Dogg and others who aid in conveying this here. **Five Stars**
5. "Freestyle Conversation"
Here is a freestyle rap from Snoop and it has him flow in responce to the question of whether he will flop without the beats of Dr. Dre. From here he intermixes spoken word and rhyming to answer how he feels towards this, amongst other things. Snoop is amongst the best at doing such raps as he's always so chilled, but I wouldn't say it was one ...
