Picture almost perfect
Advantages: Classic album which is still widely available Disadvantages: Mixed album tracks
...Box
9. No Direction
10. Picture Book "Come To My Aid" is a jazzy start to the album while the second song "Sad Old Red" is a slower, jazz-like number that's feels like it's from a soundtrack to an old film. It makes me think of smoke-filled bar rooms!
"Look At You Now" shows a change in style. This is angry and it's almost a rock song.
"Heaven" sees the bluesy/jazzy influences shine through again. And this song is about an actual bar and again, ... ...little pop track which seems to be about the nature of the music industry itself. At least that's how I infer it with words like this.
"Listen boy, I'll tell you a thing.
I'll make you a career in the business I'm in.
I'll make you rich, I'll make you a toy,
I'll make you turn over into my little boy.
Y'see I'm going somewhere.
I don't know what I'm gonna do when I get there."
"Money's Too Tight To Mention" is a gritty number and it's the ...

Stars - Simply Red
Advantages: Easy listening, good tracks Disadvantages: None
Stars - Simply Red I wanna fall from the stars Simply Red have been around for a long long time now but I think their music is still relevant and great. I think they are one of those bands who have fans of all ages due to their easy listening, non offensive type music. Apparently, according to an article I read, Simply Red got their name because it was the lead singer's (Mick Hucknall's) nickname due to his red hair. I never knew this fact but it ... ...favourite album of theirs is Stars as it contains a lot of my favourite songs of theirs. Stars is the fourth album from Simply Red and was released in 1991. Apparently when it was released it became the best-selling album for two years running in Europe and the UK. According to an article I read, in 2000 Q magazine placed Stars at number 80 in its list of the 100 Greatest British Albums Ever. I would have to agree with this as it tends to be one ...

Not as supa as Get Ur Freak On
Advantages: Colourful video, risque lyrics Disadvantages: Gets boring toward the end, not a patch on the orioginal version
...nothing to do with flies, supa dupa or otherwise.
Since hearing the Missy Elliott version of the song, I have of course realised it's by her. I've also seen the video, which
is fine, with the blow-up black bin liner outfit, and plenty of body parts seeming to undergo a strange blow-up process at the drop of a hat. It's all a little surreal, with a bright coloured (stark primary colours especially) Teletubbies-style landscape.
I got a little bit ... ...sure if it was the video, the song, or both.
The lyrics are a tiny bit rude, but, to be honest, only a tiny bit - things like "can we get kinky tonight?" and "when I play my yoyo".
Funny that, I've read a lot about Missy being a sexually-upfront feminist icon, but "can we get kinky tonight" sounds a little on the polite, even perhaps a little submissive, side. Maybe that's just my take on it. So, overall, The Rain (Super Dupa Fly) is not my kind ...

Can everyone stop getting shot...
Advantages: Wicked vibes with great rapping, BOOOOOM! Disadvantages: None, really.
I would like for you to read my review of my favourite five songs on the fantastic new album from DJ Oxide and MC Neutrino, titled Execute. I will tell you my top five in order of preference:
1. Fighting machine, it has great music to it, a real one to listen out too; it features some great lyrics, and is a fantastic overall song to listen too. Also this song features Kaish, a great artist in himself. Certainly the best track, very good rapping.
... ...start the track off. It is very ultra-modern and features some excellent work from DJ Oxide. This is a very long song at 5 minutes and 11 seconds, but does have a slow start of about 40-50 seconds until MC Neutrino starts his rapping
3. Devil’s Nightmare, one of the best pieces of work I’ve ever seen from Oxide and has also been chosen as one of the ‘Tomb Raider’ the movie’s songs. Also a long song at 6:03 minutes but ...

Just a little ray of light, shining through!
Advantages: This album is easy to obtain and it contains some hits Disadvantages: Some lame album tracks
...the album. All kinds of life are looked at here. It's just a shame that some of the tracks couldn't have had more "ooomph" about them. However, "Fairground" does mean that "Life" will have its place in pop history and of course, other people may enjoy the tracks I didn't like.
I would certainly suggesting borrowing this before buying it. ...
