Ruthless Raps From Eazy-E

Advantages: Some Classic West Coast Rap
Disadvantages: One track holds it back

“It’s On (Dr. Dre) 178um Killa” came in 1993 from Eazy-E as an EP directed (as the title indicates) towards the fellow former N.W.A member Dr. Dre as he attempts to take the shine off his “Chronic” album and to establish himself as the person who really made things happen within ‘The World’s Most Dangerous Band’ by taking control with some disses hitting back at him after what Dre had done with Snoop on “Dre Day”. 1. “Exxtra Special Thanx” (Intro) ...
...as he gets into the cold diss track that has responding directly to Dre, Snoop, Tha Dogg Pound and all else associated with them at the Death Row Records camp. It is banger and after bringing a sample from Above The Law, you see that he drops the funky bassline and gets loose with his hard G-Funk that you won’t be able to get enough of as he shows how he can take his out with B.G Knocc Out & Dresta and uses Dre’s past in World Class Wreckin’ Cru ...

None Of That R&B: Rap And BullS**t

Advantages: Straight bangers throughout
Disadvantages: Little variation

...the group. It sees the Wu (consisting of RZA, Ghostface Killah, Ol’ Dirty B*****d, Raekwon, Inspectah Deck, U-God, GZA, Method Man and Masta Killa) dropping something which was highly popular in the mid-to late nineties phase with a double album (which had recently be seen from 2Pac, The Notorious B.I.G., and to be done a little later by R. Kelly E-40) and other) in order to really let them all have a significant role within this release. This second ...
...album is a killer one and features The Wu performing to their full potential without really dropping the quality of the music at all. You can’t really complain about much of this and if you are into your nineties underground East Coast Hip Hop, then you will certainly enjoy this. ...

The Worlds Most Dangerous Group!

Advantages: The origins of several rap legends, great album overall, top tracks
Disadvantages: Too offensive for some

...Wikipedia) Track 1 - Straight Outta Compton One of the most iconic gangster rap songs of all time and the lead single from the album, 'Straight Outta Compton' both received wide spread praise and criticism on release. With a menacing beat and aggressive raps all round this track truly is a classic, it may not have much money in the production but with a collection of rappers of this calibre plus Dr Dre (and DJ Yella to a lesser degree) producing ...
...they were released they went straight to the studio to record this track, Dre recalls the incident - "It was me and Eazy riding around. He had this paintball gun, and he was shooting people at bus stops. The cops caught us and we were face down on the freeway with guns pointed at us. We thought it was bullsh*t. So we went to the studio and created the song. So we said f*ck the police cuz cops are f*ckin pigs who think everything's a god damn crime!". ...

Who Says Cube Fell Off?

Advantages: Consistent quality
Disadvantages: One weak track

"Raw Footage" is the eighth solo album from one of the founding members of N.W.A, Ice Cube. Cube came into the game in the late eighties as part of the rise of Gangsta Rap movement, which was spawned from the exposure of Hip Hop over in LA, and since they had to relate it to their street life, the gangsta lifestyle became part of their music. With Ice-T, MC Ren and Dr. Dre, they managed to get this unique sound of the West Coast up, and it is now ...
...Since its peak in the mid-ninties, the West Coast scene has died down, so it could have been difficult for Cube to come up with something for the listeners of now. Despite the fact that he has made acting his main career path, he has continued to bring out new releases, but the last one, "Laugh Now, Cry Later" (which came out in 2006) sounded as if he had lost the flow which he had in his early days, since he took an extended break from the game, ...
