Disadvantages: a couple of dodgy tracks

I was given this as a present and I was really impressed! On face value I thought it would be the usually compilation CD with a few good tunes and then a lot of fillers especially on the third disc but I was quite happily proved wrong! There are a few tracks which I wasn't familiar with but even they have turned out to be good tunes. The CD does feature a lot of the chart classics that everyone remembers (Ultra Nate, Robyn S, Ce Ce Penistone, Uban ...
...since 1994 (Jinny, Mory Kante). Its a good mix of really popular chart hits and not so commercially successful club classics. There are also a few tracks which are not the usual mixes which helps to keep it quite fresh. I thought it was excellent value and would recommend it. ...Disc One's stand out favourites for me include Storm's Time To Burn, Cosmic Gate's Fire Wire, IIO's Rapture, Angelic's It's My Turn (Angelic being Amanda, wife of DJ Judge Jules), an amazing Tiesto remix of Delirium's Silence, and one of my all-time favourite tunes, Sandstorm by Darude. Soundboy Rock is the latest and 7th release for the Cambridge based duo, Andy Cato and Tom Findlay. Loosely described as electronic or funk, their genre has surpassed the hedonisitic, late 90's pop madness, and deposited them into the chill out category. Soundboy Rock is a first in a while for Groove Armada in terms of an eclectic, capricious collective of some damn fine tracks, cunningly co-ordinated into a steady torrent of trip-tastic tunes. Upon reflection, SoundBoy Rock takes much of it's innovation from the 2001 album "Goodbye Country (Hello Nightclub)" seeing a return to the break-beat, trip hop styling we loved.
