Advantages: good value for money
Disadvantages: a couple of dodgy tracks

I was given this as a present and I was really impressed! On face value I thought it would be the usually compilation CD with a few good tunes and then a lot of fillers especially on the third disc but I was quite happily proved wrong! There are a few tracks which I wasn't familiar with but even they have turned out to be good tunes. The CD does feature a lot of the chart classics that everyone remembers (Ultra Nate, Robyn S, Ce Ce Penistone, Uban ...
...since 1994 (Jinny, Mory Kante). Its a good mix of really popular chart hits and not so commercially successful club classics. There are also a few tracks which are not the usual mixes which helps to keep it quite fresh. I thought it was excellent value and would recommend it. You always get some dodgy tracks on compilation cd's but this one manages to keep them at a minimum. ... Read review

Advantages: Original, intelligent, different to most other predictable, cheesy dance music thatis around at the moment.
Disadvantages: One track: Bingo Bango. Let's the side down a bit.

...absolute corkers. Three discs of classic offerings to bring those memories flooding back, covered in more detail below...glowsticks optional! So how would you kick off such a collection? Something a few years old, huge at the time and still sounding as good eleven years on perhaps. ...Disc One's stand out favourites for me include Storm's Time To Burn, Cosmic Gate's Fire Wire, IIO's Rapture, Angelic's It's My Turn (Angelic being Amanda, wife of DJ Judge Jules), an amazing Tiesto remix of Delirium's Silence, and one of my all-time favourite tunes, Sandstorm by Darude. Advantages: some great tracks, totally original style

A munching gorilla set against a background of stars and vivid pink isn't a look that too many music stars would go for on the front of their albums. However, Brixton's Basement Jaxx aren't your orthodox band. Known to their mothers as Simon Ratcliffe and Simon Buxton, they have been producing music together for almost a decade, although it was only with 1999's 'Remedy' that they fully hit the big time.
