Good Album, although a bit 'fluffy'
Review of Imagine - Armin Van Buuren by sm276

Advantages: Very good flow, some top tracks
Disadvantages: Very vocal (Even for Armin)

...off with the title track Imagine and going into 'Going Wrong' which is going to be massive this summer, all the way through the the beautiful 'Intricacy' at the end. It is a big shame that 'If You Should Go' IMO the best track he has produced since Shivers is not on the album. This is a suprise as Armin started playing the track around the same time he started promoting the album. The only other detremental thing I would say about the album is ... Read review

Da King Back... Go Git It Tip
Review of King [PA] - T.I. by XICripZ

Advantages: A few bangers
Disadvantages: No change from earlier albums

...the first week. 1. King Back This is an amazing start to the album, and the perfect way to begin an album for T.I.. Although "Urban Legend" began in a similar way, you feel as though T.I. is more qualified to identify himself as the 'King of the South', and this great production behind him, you don't want to argue this claim by him. Just Blaze's beat opens it up in a relavent way to suit his status in the South with applause and horns before he ...
...**Five Stars** 2. Front Back (feat. UGK) This is one of my favourites tracks by T.I. due to all of the elements which make it work. The foundations of it are that it samples a Dirty South classic jam by UGK called "Front, Back, Side To Side", and features the original artists as they gained mainstream fame with re-written verses. It is such a big collaboration for the artists, and acts as the biggest one which he as done to date, as previous relaes ... Read review

So What's CPT Sayin'?
Review of Straight Outta Compton - N.W.A. by XICripZ

Advantages: Strong throughout
Disadvantages: Nothing specific

...the time. 1. Straight Outta Compton As the title track to their album, and the first single since their debut, it was a well-received track by the group, but to be honest I think that it's slightly overated and isn't as eventful as a lot of their harder material. However, I don't think it's a weak track from them as the raps are just as rough as in their debut. Here you have them on a more up-tempo beat with the classic "Amen Break", but at the ...
...Eazy-E) on a beat which we hadn't heard them on before. As a result , they didn't sound as comfortable, and if it wasn't for the other samples, for example to "West Coast Poplock", it may have completely fallen apart. **Four Stars** 2. F**k Tha Police Here's probably the most infamous track for them; one which even got them a formal warnign from the FBI as it is a direct challenge to America's law enforcement system. It was inspired by a genuine ... Read review

Chillin' In The Club In He G-Boy Stance
Review of Tha Doggfather - Snoop Dogg by XICripZ

Advantages: Consistant quality
Disadvantages: Lots of interludes

...(Lude) 4. "Up Jump Tha Boogie" (feat. Kurupt, Charlie Wilson, Teena Marie) This one screams out the sound of urban music in the mid ninties, and what has become a craze over '07 and '08 as you have Charlie Wilson singing to the vodocer (similar to T-Pain's auto-tuner), and here it allows you be immersed within the sound of that particluar era. Most Hip Hop fans will recognise the lyrics as part of the Sugarhill Gang's "Rapper Delight", and this ...
...rap from Tha Dogg and others who aid in conveying this here. **Five Stars** 5. "Freestyle Conversation" Here is a freestyle rap from Snoop and it has him flow in responce to the question of whether he will flop without the beats of Dr. Dre. From here he intermixes spoken word and rhyming to answer how he feels towards this, amongst other things. Snoop is amongst the best at doing such raps as he's always so chilled, but I wouldn't say it was one ... Read review
