'Return of the...' ....just don't leave again!
Review of Return Of The Space Cowboy - Jamiroquai by tom_very1st

Advantages: Consistently high standard of tracks that bring together funk and acid-jazz.
Disadvantages: Not enough people have heard this yet.

This album is the ulitimate fusion of funk and acid-jazz that is unrivalled in its field. In fact this album brings forward a good argument for their being a 'Jamiroquai' style of music, as there is nothing else like it- apart from possibly other jamiroquai albums. The experience begins with 'Just another story' which apparently is in part about the life of lead vocalist J.Kay.This track combines a solid impressive bass with guitar riffs, trumpets, ...
...minutes of emotion, creativity and funky beats to your ears. At this point you are left thinking that this album is one of those that puts its best track first so that you listen to the rest of the album hoping to find another one of similar quality..... this is where I was left mistaken. The second track 'Stillness in time' is very different to the first in terms of style, but still uses a bass that leaves you moving to the music. As you progress ... Read review

Amazing
Review of Ultimate Collection, The - Billy Ocean by pimpmasta_ste

Advantages: Bargain, Timeless Classics
Disadvantages: None

This album is an absolute bargain! the opening track is "when the going gets tough". A timelass classic, famed for being the soundtrack for "Jewel of the Nile", and the video with Michael Douglas, Kathleen Turner and the ever comical Danny Devito! Next is Carribean queen, with a luring bassline which sets the pace for the rest of the album! It has all his classics, "Love realy hurts without you" "Suddenly "etc. Theres a song for every mood and Billy ... Read review

The Real thing
Review of Real Thing, The (Words And Sounds Vol.3/Deluxe Limited Edition/+DVD) - Jill Scott by tabs29

Advantages: excellent, wait is over.
Disadvantages: should have come after "who is Jill scott"

...15 tracks on this "the real thing" and the best ones are as follows: Track - Breathe (great lyrical skills) Track -The real thing (rockesque very much like en-vogue) Track -Come see me (is a stand out track on this album, very soft silky ballad) Track - Crown royal (is a melodic earfest, however this seems like an interlude as it is too short). Track Epiphany (is something on another level, its a sexual track but doesnt use vulgar language, you will ...
...get what was being expressed, just very intelligent) Track - my love (is very similar to a track on the "who is jill" album but nevertheless still soothing) Track - celibacy blues ( is just that, a blues track about celibacy but sung by the queen Jill) Track - all I (is one thats going to be played a hell of a lot I guarantee you its a slow jam) All in al this is an excellent album that you could play straight after who is jill scott and think that ... Lovely Song for a Lovely Life
Review of Lovely Day (The Best Of Bill Withers) - Bill Withers by Sonatine

Advantages: Upbeat, funky, catchy chorus, just a great early morning pick-me-up
Disadvantages: absolutely zip!

...of it more tangible than Lovely Day, its too this particular track that really found him fame & fortune. And it's not really surprising that a lot of TV commercials tend to use it to boost their products. I'll be playing this more often I think, it will really put a smile on your face and makes you feel on top of the world. Good one, Bill, Have a nice Day!!! ... Read review

This track is a fairly slow track but it has very strong lyrics. The amazing voice of Max Reich makes the listen even more special , as the vocals in this song is very smooth and sweet.
