Don't need a best of
Advantages: Many a cracking tune Disadvantages: better off getting albums
...concept albums, so you do get into the swing of certain albums so this album can pull you in two different directions. Having said that, there is a degree of chronilogical ordering so its not to bad. I recomend you get hold of some of their best albums though, because if you don't like these, you won't like Parliament at all, and if you do, you'll be on your way to a fuller collection.

Alright Everybody... On The One!
Advantages: Lots of bangers Disadvantages: Two tracks hold things back
Released in 1975 in the same month that the band (who for that album going by the name of Funkadelic) dropped an album in, Parliament brought out “Chocolate City” and found that with this same ‘classic’ line-up that included George Clinton leading the way as the producer and then the likes of Bootsy Collins, Bernie Worrell and Eddie Hazel all added into the mix that was seen in Funkadelic too. These Funk pioneers brought what is considered to be ... ...progressive, and more lively material than in the past. 1. “Chocolate City” The album begins with a heavy tuned and one that finds them clearly moving on signifincantly from where they were on the last album (that hadn’t even come more than a month before this one) and you see that with the inclusion of more electronic instruments to the mix as George Clinton takes on the role of the lead vocalist just coming with some spoken word about the ‘Chocolate ...

..And We All Ride Home In My Automobile
Advantages: A few big tunes Disadvantages: A few let it down
“Osmium” came out in 1970, and was the debut album from Parliament, the George Clinton-lead Funk and Psychedelic Soul band. In the group you have the original members of The Parliaments: Clinton, Fuzzy Haskins, Calvin Simon, Grady Thomas and Ray Davis (originally a Doo-Wop band), as well as Tiki Fulwood on drums, Billy Bass Nelson (bass), and Eddie Hazel (guitar). Many others participate in it, but these are the main members who went of to release ... ...of Parliament-Funkadelic as they advanced. 1. “I Call My Baby Pussycat” In order to kick the album off, you find them going straight for a funky one to wake the listeners up and get them in the mood for the thing. As this is a very complex album with lots of levels to it, I felt that the starter was suitable, as so much goes on within it, and it reflects the way the rest of it goes with so many different twists and turns. **Four Stars** 2. “Put Love ...

Rudolph The Funky-Soul Reindeer? It Gotsta Be Boosty, Baby
Advantages: The Funk Disadvantages: Few songs sound 'Christmas'y'
...2006 and came as a Christmas album from Funk legend Bootsy Collins (known for his work as a bassist in The J.B.'s, Funkadelic, Parliamnet and Boosty Collins' Rubber Band). It finds him bringing his own P-Funk twist on a variety of Christmas hits in that style as well as Hip Hop and Soul as we get him producing and singing with guest appearances from Gary Shider, Fred Wesley, Bernie Worrell and Snoop Dogg. 1.“N-Yo-City” Starting the album we see that ... ...**Four Stars** 2.“Merry Christmas Baby” Here we find that we get a track that brings the Funk out in a way that you really wouldn't have ben able to anticipate (even with the introductory cut) as we see that here we have synth joining some live instrumental bass work from his brother Catfish Collins, and Boosty himself makes his first apparent on the record by coming to deliver a fly hook and half-developed verses that take you back to the times ...

The Eminem Show - by Eminem
Advantages: Great quality music, lots of songs to suit your mood Disadvantages: Couple of poor songs, controversial if you're not into this music
...Movie World of Reviews. The Eminem Show is probably the only album I feel I know well enough to write about, so here goes. Rap artist Eminem has been around for over a decade now. He burst into the hiphop/rap scene and created massive controversy and faced ridicule for being a white rapper, fighting against all the black artists such a P. Diddy, D12, Jay-Z, 50 Cent and Dr. Dre, just to name a few. He began his music life releasing The Slim Shady ... ...Slim Shady, another nickname. Eminem released The Eminem Show in 2002. It sold over a million copies very quickly, and was a bit more playful than his latest two albums (mentioned above). The Slim Shady/Marshall Mathers LPs were very serious, about guns, suicide, killing, how much he hates his mum and family and wants them dead (not nice..), and how he hated other artists. The Eminem Show's first released single was 'Without Me'. In the video of ...
