I was never a fan of Beyonce , not even when she was in Destiny's Child , although I will admit that I used to absolutely love some of their songs such as Survivor , Emotion and Lose My Breath. It was only since 'If I Were A Boy' came out that I really took notice of Beyonce. Soon after came Halo and I soon became a fan of Beyonce , even going to the effort of buying her album , "I Am...Sasha Fierce!". I absolutely love the album , and I loved the ... ...before it was released as a single.
Broken Hearted is the 17th solo single from Beyonce and is taken off her latest album "I Am Sasha Fierce!". The single was released on August 28th 2009 and is currently at number 33 in the British Single Charts.
Broken Hearted is obviously about a girl who is Broken Hearted so it has quite an emotional feel to it. The Europop styled ballad starts off with some strong piano chords which proceed to pounce throughout ...
Advantages: Great songs, great guest apperances, great album design Disadvantages: None at all!
...line.
The album, titled Overcome was released on the 19th November 2009 and sailed to the top of the charts; it is simply packaged with a picture of Alexandra on the front, her name and the album title. It has taken just under a year to produce and publish so was it worth the wait... Here is my opinion on the tracks:
1)) Bad Boys featuring Flo Rida (3:26) I see this track as the first single release from Alexandra as I often forget that she released ... ...high notes!
8)) Overcome (3:54)
The title track of the album and what a fantastic track it is. It really shows of another great vocal performance from Alexandra and is quite an emotional track that I think Alexandra gets across really well. It starts off quite quiet and then builds throughout the song. One of my favourites.
9)) Gotta go (4:01)
A tamed down R and B track for me, and definitely an album filer in my opinion. It is not one of my ...
Advantages: Its ok Disadvantages: She could do better by being herself.

Well having listened to it several times i am sure we have not heard the best of her .
I am dissapointed in that she just seems to be trying for follow everyone else and doesnt try and carve out her own style and sound. hopefully the songs will grow on me. I dont like the fact that they are trying to harden her image. She should ... ...(4.09)

I would say that its worth spending a £10 on. Hopefully she will be more of herself in her next offering. An average effort in my opinion. ...
Advantages: : Great vocals. Whitney's back Disadvantages: : One or two weaker tracks
...fan of Whitney Houston as I am I have to admit I was unsure whether she could come back and continue on from her most recent albums. This is her first album in 7 years and there aren't too many bands or solo stars who have come back from that kind of break and had the same artistic value in their music. So does Whitney's comeback seem destined for the bargain bin or could she just come back. **I Look To You** Released on 19th October 2009 and is ... ...Call You Tonight 4 I Look To You 5 Like I Never Left Feat. Akon 6 A Song For You 7 I Didn't Know My Own Strength 8 Worth It 9 For The Lovers 10 I Got You 11 Salute **My View** "Million Dollar Bill" Whitney gets the album underway with this catchy single , which mixes a funky 70's bass hook with her late 80's dance stuff. This is a very decent opening, This track features a sample of Loleatta Holloway's "We're Getting Stronger". "Nothin' But Love" ...
Advantages: The Funk Disadvantages: Few songs sound 'Christmas'y'
...2006 and came as a Christmas album from Funk legend Bootsy Collins (known for his work as a bassist in The J.B.'s, Funkadelic, Parliamnet and Boosty Collins' Rubber Band). It finds him bringing his own P-Funk twist on a variety of Christmas hits in that style as well as Hip Hop and Soul as we get him producing and singing with guest appearances from Gary Shider, Fred Wesley, Bernie Worrell and Snoop Dogg. 1.“N-Yo-City” Starting the album we see that ... ...**Four Stars** 2.“Merry Christmas Baby” Here we find that we get a track that brings the Funk out in a way that you really wouldn't have ben able to anticipate (even with the introductory cut) as we see that here we have synth joining some live instrumental bass work from his brother Catfish Collins, and Boosty himself makes his first apparent on the record by coming to deliver a fly hook and half-developed verses that take you back to the times ...
