R'n'B Love songs (The Best of 2006)
Review of R&B Lovesongs (The Very Best Of R&B Love Songs 2006) - Various Artists by
mailboxmoney
Advantages: Great mix of artists and well known tunes
Disadvantages: Maybe needed more female artists, popular r'n'b stars
2 Disc Set, with 40 tracks so you can't really go wrong here. It's kind of a mix of the old and the new love songs, but still some timeless tracks from artists like Mary Mary, Aliyah, 2Pac, Anita baker, Toni Braxton and others. The kinds of songs everyone knows. Some lovers tunes and some more faster paced. With Lemar, Wayne Wonder, Akon, Ashanti, Mya, India Arie, as well known young stars of now. But it would have been nice to have seen some younger ... ...at the moment and also maybe a bigger selection of female vocalists like Khelis, Brandy, Ne-Yo, Omarion and others. Still the tracks are a good mix with tunes like My Boo, Usher and Alicia Keys, Satisfaction, Eve, Cry me a River, Justin Timberlake, Sweet Love, Anita Baker, On and On Eryka Badu and lots more. ...

Please Don't Stop The Music Rihanna
Review of Good Girl Gone Bad - Rihanna by
blondgem
Advantages: great album
Disadvantages: -
...one hits from the album, Good Girl Gone Bad including Umberella which stayed at number one for 11 weeks during 2007. The unique lyrics to the track, a little bit different from other artists and the great video that accompanied the track, managed to earn her the Video of the Year and Monster Single of the Year at the MTV Television Awards.
Although she is still very young, her vocals are fantastic, you can tell she is young as she sings a little ... ...music to the ears.
Good Girl Gone Bad is Rihanna's third album, I hadn't really listened to much of her music until she released Umberlla last year, which instantly took my liking. Its a flawless album, no weak tracks and one of the first in my R&B collection of album's, and may also be the last.
Hate That I Love You has got to be one of my favourites from the album, a ballad is which she sings so sweetly. The lyrics are fabulous and you can associate ...

A Song Review
Review of Song Review (The Very Best Of Stevie Wonder) - Stevie Wonder by
luckyarchers
Advantages: Good music which shows Stevie Wonder’s different styles.
Disadvantages: Differences of opinion about greatest hits.
...to think that if a song is commercially good, it probably isn’t musically good.) Instead, I want to tell you about the tracks on this album and let you decide whether it is worth buying.
One thing I am sure about is that there is no rubbish on this album. The tracks, to me, are either good or brilliant, therefore, I give the album 5 stars.
A wide range of music influenced Stevie as he grew up including Gospel, Jazz, Reggae, and Motown. All of these ... ...Ivory (Paul McCartney) and Redemption Song (Bob Marley).
The album starts off with the ballad ISN’T SHE LOVELY, where as an obviously very proud father, Stevie thanks God for the birth of his baby. When Stevie isn’t singing on this track, he is playing the harmonica.
I JUST CALLED TO SAY I LOVE YOU, a good ballad for smooching to, is Motown's biggest selling single in the UK.
I find the strong beat of SUPERSTITION haunting, while Stevie sings, ...

Didn't live up to the hype
Review of Rockferry - Duffy by
little_emma3
Advantages: Brilliant voice
Disadvantages: Songs are weak
...since I heard the single Rockferry back at the end of 2007. I have to say I was quite disappointed with it. I found that it did not live up to the hype. There are a couple of tracks that stand out, Rockferry being one, and Warwick Avenue being another. I find that the rest of the songs are just a little bit warbly. However Duffy does have an amazing voice, which is shown off beautifully through out the album. I do look forward to hearing more of ...

Fragments of...Awesome music
Review of Fragments Of Freedom - Morcheeba by
bengar
Advantages: Great dance music, peacy and happy, moral
Disadvantages: Abit too electronic and synthesised. Expensive to buy.
Fragments of Freedom by Morcheba is a brilliant album which you can listen to over and over again. The words all have morals such as if you're to shallow then you'll get hurt ( from the song "Shallow End" ). If you feel like relaxing after a stressful day or if you want calming dance music...this is the album for you.
The band manage to keep up the high standard of their other albums and the album in general is almost flawless. Of course there is ...
